Indra Valley Inn is top class.I spent several nights there in December of last year,2025.It was a fabulous experience....The location is perfect,in a quiet part of Bukit Lawang and overlooking the Bohorok river-the Sungai Bohorok....The owner/manager Obiwan is super friendly and helpful,speaks very good English and is always available to assist with trekking expeditions,tubing on the river and whatever else the guests might need...My room was very large,super clean and sleep quality was excellent.....I had all my meals at the on-site restaurant and the food was top class...Try the pancakes for breakfast and the fried noodles for lunch and dinner...Just perfect.I want to thank Madame Obiwan and Sila for doing such excellent work in the kitchen.....Obiwan organises trekking in Gunung Leuser National Park and rafting ( TUBING ) trips on the Bohorok river....Just fabulous....In this regard I want to thank Fireman,an excellent guide.Fireman also speaks very good English.I had many enjoyable trips on the motorbike with Fireman and enjoyed touring the countryside with him....There is no better place to stay in Bukit Lawang than Indra Valley Inn....Top marks...10 out of 10.

“An excellent experience in a tropical rainforest you will never forget”

Indravalley is a beautiful layback cozy resort, like all Bukit Lawang is layback. We loved it. The rooms are excellent, good shower, WiFi and very spacious. The view on the river and tropical woods from the big balcony is spectacular. It has a nice restaurant and some others nearby. Obiwan and his team are great and happy to serve your special wishes. Their mission is to make you a happy guest. That’s why Obiwan created his own team with trekking guides. All in one hand to maintain the quality of service he wants to give you. One desk if you encounter issues. Even the driver who pick you up from the airport belongs to his team. You could feel they’re proud to work for Obiwan. Like Fireman who took us to a special designed trekking for the two of us because of travel constraints. Thanks to him we saw orangutan, gibbons and a snake, otherwise we had no trekking at all. But what I really find great is that Indravalley is complete local based with local staff. No big company behind it, just them. A stay there will support the locals for a 100% I guess by now you won’t be surprised that we highly recommend Indravalley.

“Four nights stay and two days one night trekking.”

My wife and I stayed at the Indra Valley Inn for four nights in December, including two days and one night of trekking. The owner and boss “Obiwan” organized everything very well, including transport to and from Bukit Lawang. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, although I have to highlight “Fireman and “Verdi” as they were also our trekking guides. The accommodation is right on the river and we were given a room with a large balcony and a view of the river. The room including the bathroom was large and clean. Now about the trekking: Our trekking guide "Fireman" is a trained guide and the second guide was "Verdi", who is still in training, both did an excellent job. We saw five orangutans, two of them mothers with babies, up close. Other monkeys and animals too. We slept in a camp by the river and were fed by a cook (who was the boss at the rafting the next day) and did an excellent job. The rafting on fairly choppy water lasted about 20 minutes and was an experience. “The tranquil and less crowded ambiance is the best”

The tranquil and less crowded ambiance of the place greatly enhanced the meaningfulness of my jungle living. It's about a 15-minute walk from the public transport stop, but they offered a free pick-up service. I originally booked for two nights but extended my stay to three because of the outstanding hospitality and warmth from everyone I interacted with. Each staff member made me feel truly welcomed and appreciated, making my stay exceptionally pleasant. The one day jungle trekking with one of the staff was also amazing and we saw eight orangutan. One of my favorite things is enjoying breakfast at the river-front restaurant. Overall, it was a great experience. Highly recommended!
