“Above & Beyond service in a family owned hotel.”

Family operated hotel with orientation toward service. Accommodating, kind, exceptional breakfast, and located steps away the town center and the terme. No air conditioning, but the mountain air and fans were more than enough to keep the room nice and cool. Will come again!!

We were two sisters plus one husband doing a “roots tour” tracing the steps of our grandfathers who migrated from Italy to the U.S. in 1907. One was from Caramanico. We chose the hotel for its location on the newer, spa side of Caramanico, hoping that a potentially touristy place might have desk staff who spoke some English and could help us with our itinerary—but slightly away from the big hotels, wanting to avoid the prices for spa services we wouldn’t use. Also, being at the end of a busy, 2-week trip of staying in mostly AirB&B places, we wanted to treat ourselves to the routine services of a “real” hotel — enough towels, adequate hot water, in-house restaurant. We guessed brilliantly by choosing Arimannia, because the owner Davide and his wife and daughter delivered exactly what we hoped for and then some. Being a sentimental family man himself, Davide was immediately interested in our project and on the phone calling people in town, and in nearby towns, who had our same last name to drill them, "Are you related to these Americans?” He also knew his town’s history and was able to brief us on the location of each church, which one was closed because an 8-foot snowfall a few years ago caused the roof to collapse—but it’s being repaired!—and, indeed we saw cranes around it, which streets were the oldest, etc. I treated myself to a single room with a double bed, being sick of the skinny Italian single beds in other places, and it was divine. The room was spacious enough and quiet, bed comfy, plumbing good (we concede that we are resource-spoiled Americans, but some days you just neeeeed that hot shower), breakfasts generous (sweets, savories, meats, breads, fruit juices, yoghurts, fresh local seasonal fruits, anything you could think of), wifi steady and good enough for email and web browsing. (I didn’t try to do anything data-intensive on the wifi.) We ate dinner in the hotel’s restaurant one night, and it was fantastic. Our large rental car didn’t fit easily in the parking lot, but we gave the keys to Davide and he moved it around as necessary. Three-star category rating, which I forgot about until now, is misleading. I would have assumed higher based on first hand experience. Over all, our stay was delightful, and we recommend Hotel Arimannia highly.

“Nice location and good service”

We were staying there for three nights. The hotel was charming and the staff were very helpful. Top hospitality and nice local food. Hope to come back some day for more hiking and biking Ciao from Oslo Kari and Knut
