I stayed in the single room for 2 nights and wished I stayed longer, the room is small but very well organized, really quiet and in the center of everything @ walking distance (10 min ) from the trains station. The owners are really nice and super knowledgeable of Matera, the best way to go around… more

I stayed in the single room for 2 nights and wished I stayed longer, the room is small but very well organized, really quiet and in the center of everything @ walking distance (10 min ) from the trains station. The owners are really nice and super knowledgeable of Matera, the best way to go around, newly opened sights. The breakfast was really good: fresh local bread/ focaccia/pastries/cakes, cheese/ cure meat/yogurts/cereals/fresh fruit/butter jams. I hope to stay there again and spend more time visiting Matera and the surrounding area

“Modern B and B in Great Location”

Stayed 3 nights ( plenty to do and see in Matera) at this modern B and B in a small block on a pedestrianised street literally 2 minutes walk from Matera's busy main street.Our room ( Carlo Levi) was large, quiet and comfortable with a good shower. Breakfast was typically Italian - mainly sweet and savoury pastries. One of the owners speaks good English and provided us with a map and recommendations of sites to visit in Matera. They were also kind enough to pick us up and return us to the station. Seemed good value in a destination whose popularity is growing fast - need to book early as there are only 3 rooms.

My husband and i stayed in this amazing B & B earlier in the year and loved every moment of our time there. Our room, Levi was clean, comfortable and quiet and Silvia went out of her way to be helpful and to recommend where to eat, what to see and do. All these months later, we still think of our wonderful experience and the convenience of the accomodation to the Sassi. The room was very secure and had excellent bathroom facilities Rosanna was also very helpful and though her English was less fluent that Silvias, she too was very helpful and we managed to communicate perfectly well. The breakfasts were particularly good and a wide variety of fruit, cereals, yogurts and local bread was available and very good coffee..... We spent 3 days at B & B Donna Eleonora and could not have wished for better. The accomodation was handy to the station ( Silvia offered to collect us when we arrived) but we managed to navigate our way in about 15 mins. She and her husband kindly took us to the Flix bus stop for our next journey to Gravina. We thoroughly recommend the wonderful hospitality and level of assistance provided by Silvia & Rosanna and apologise for the delay writing our review on this site. Would love to visit again.....
