Idyllic hotel, perfect for visiting attractions in the area. Close to Pompeii, Naples, Sorrento and Paestum, with a shuttle to Salerno. Hotel Olimpico is a charmingly beautiful place. From the grand entrance area, with the fountains and tastefully lit trees, we knew it was going to be a lovely stay. When we reached our room, we knew it would be phenomenal. The rooms were immaculately presented, spacious and with a lovely balcony with a great view, cleaned perfectly every day with everything you could need and more. Breakfast was a great selection of Italian and continental delights, all of a high quality and included a great selection of fresh fruit, juices and a pancake station. We ate in the restaurant one night where food was delightfully served in beautiful surroundings and of a great standard. There’s a lovely, clean pool, lots of children’s play activities to the rear of the hotel (so not in the way if you don’t have children), which were well received by our boys. The best feature of the hotel, however, was the staff, who were so helpful and friendly before and throughout our stay, particularly the wonderful Chiara who gave us so much important information before we arrived. Would definitely return to this hotel and would absolutely recommend to others.

You are a treasure to Hotel Olimpico, you made our stay amazing and we can't thank you enough!!!! If I could give you 10 stars, I would !!!!!!!! It doesn't matter that the hotel is out of the way, the shuttle bus is so convenient to get you to the Ferry Port, sakerno airport, or sakerno Train Station. I would not miss booking this hotel if you want first class service!!!!!

We had a fantastic experience at Hotel Olimpic. The staff were extremely friendly and caring, making us feel welcome from the first moment. The restaurant deserves special praise: even though we had not booked half board, we chose to dine there every day because the food and the service were outstanding. The quality-to-price ratio was perfect. Although the hotel is not directly in the city of Salerno, this was no inconvenience at all. A convenient shuttle service ran many times a day to the city center, port, and main station, making it easy to start various daily excursions. The beach is right in front of the hotel and was clean. The only minor downside was that at the end of September many surrounding facilities were closed, which made the beach area feel a bit abandoned. The garden and the pool were beautifully maintained and added to the relaxing atmosphere. Overall, we will definitely return to Hotel Olimpic. It’s an excellent combination of warm hospitality, great food, and thoughtful services—highly recommended!

Hotel Olimpico might be a decent choice for families who simply want to relax by the pool and eat all their meals at the hotel. The facilities make it easy to stay on-site, and the hotel seems designed for exactly that purpose. However, it’s worth noting that the hotel restaurant charges a €3.50 “coperto” fee per person for every meal – even for hotel guests. If you’re planning to explore the city of Salerno, visit the Amalfi Coast, or dine out in the evenings, it quickly becomes inconvenient and expensive – even if you have a car. The hotel is 16 km from the city of Salerno, not 5 km as listed, and the hotel shuttle runs very infrequently – the last return trip is at 8:00 PM. The area surrounding the hotel also feels unsafe and unattractive. Unfortunately, our experience didn’t live up to expectations. The room did not match the description or photos, and communication with the staff about cancellation or changing rooms was frustrating and exhausting. The hotel manager eventually offered us a 50% refund for the stay – and we could checked out immediately. It felt like a greedy offer, not a genuine attempt to compromise. A full refund for the last two nights would have been a much more professional response. At nearly €200 per night, the price simply doesn’t reflect the experience. There is nothing “luxurious” about the room – it was a basic standard room, similar to what we’ve had at many other Italian hotels for half the price, and often with better quality. The only thing we can truly praise is the breakfast, which exceeded typical Italian standards and was genuinely enjoyable. The staff were friendly – especially Giovanni and Daniele. We deeply regret spending so much money on a hotel that was not worth it. We will not return and cannot recommend it.
