“Relaxing weekend, quiet location with fantastic view”

Spent 3 nights over Easter in this fantastic little hotel run by two incredibly friendly ladies. Room: booked a room with balcony overlooking the water, with gorgeous views of Lake Garda. Spent hours on the balcony reading a book and snacking on amazing local cheeses! Mattress was firm (which I enjoyed) and there was a small sofa, small TV and mini kitchenette with a few cups, random cooking utensils and small pots, an electric kettle, and element for cooking. Small fridge to keep food. Good enough though we didn't cook while there. Strong WiFi. Small stand up shower with plenty of hot water. Grounds: there is ample underground free parking, a decent sized pool and lounge chairs, nearly all rooms face the water but the ground level rooms are too low to see the water. The hotel's website explains the views from each room. Breakfast: included, good sized continental with cheeses, breads, fruits, spreads, meats, cereals and yogurts. Boiled egg station. Fresh coffee made to order. Location: close to Malcesine town but would not consider this to be 'in' town, see below for transportation details. Located in a quiet part of the lakeshore called Spiaggia with some other hotels and handful of restaurants but nothing like the charming village atmosphere of Malcesine. There's a market up the street called Jolly Discount with a large fresh produce stand in the adjacent parking lot. There is a water sports company the shore where you can do kayaking, sailing, paddling, etc. Getting to Malcesine town: under 30 min leisurely walk along the gorgeous coastline (also lit at night) or 5 min drive (€1-2/hour parking) or 5 min by public bus (€1.20 each way). But, there's lots of traffic. Consider that there's only one road that goes around the lake, combined with the thousands of cars that converge in the area on weekends, leaves walking the preferred option during busy times. On a Sunday morning, we tried to take the 11am bus which didn't show up even 20 minutes after its scheduled time. Then we decided to drive but was stuck in traffic for half an hour, then we finally made it to Malcesine but couldn't find any parking in any of their 5 large parking lots. Ended up driving up the coast to a smaller village at the top of the lake and spent the day there instead. The hotel offers a discount to guests for the ferry across the lake. We didn't take advantage but ask at the front desk. Overall, great stay and incredibly friendly hosts. Room was great but not overly luxurious, but this was not expected anyway given the mid-market price. Would stay again if I was looking for a quiet weekend away.

“Beautiful hotel”

This was an amazing hotel. We stayed here for our wedding in 2013 and lived everything about it. Staff were so very helpful. This was an amazing hotel. We stayed here for our wedding in 2013 and lived everything about it. Staff were so very helpful. The rooms were a great size we had a double bed and the bunk beds plus a cot for our daughter. The view was beautiful looking out onto lake Garda. The pool was lovely and very relaxing always had space around it. The staff were happy for family and friends to come and visit us in the hotel and use the facilities with us. Food was also lovely. Very nice location out of the centre but with a bus stop over the road in and out of town so very accessible. Would definately go back!!!

“Must see”

This hotel was amazing, modern facilities incl self catering if like and 180 degree views (from first floor up) in a location protected from the wind. The balcony was fantastic for just sitting and viewing the incredible lake. Can do a great lakeside walk into the town centre or other way and great… more

This hotel was amazing, modern facilities incl self catering if like and 180 degree views (from first floor up) in a location protected from the wind. The balcony was fantastic for just sitting and viewing the incredible lake. Can do a great lakeside walk into the town centre or other way and great walking eg Lake Ledro and further. Can also catch ferries to local town eg Limone but a bit touristy. Car parking included. We will definitely go back for longer!
