“Lower End of 3 Stars.”

We travel frequently to Italy, this hotel is a solid 2 1/2 to 3 stars. For Americans traveling, this hotel is easily compared to a Motel 6 or cheaper hotel/motel. We travel frequently to Italy, this hotel is a solid 2 1/2 to 3 stars. For Americans traveling, this hotel is easily compared to a Motel 6 or cheaper hotel/motel. The only positives are the friendly front desk staff, and the outside of this hotel is visually appealing. The lobby is somewhat inviting. The issues are with the room. We stayed in a "deluxe" king room / room 213. The hallway to the room and the room itself had an odor. Old, old smoke. The floor cleanliness is subpar. The bed linens, pillows had an odor, the bottom sheet appeared yellowed in the middle. We immediately reported the smoke (smoking room) smell to the front desk, to which they responded the hotel is non smoking.... When getting into bed, the burgundy/red foot coverlet was literally burned. There was also a burn mark on the floor beside the night table. The pillows had an odor strong enough we put one of our shirts over the pillow case. The give you a remote when checking in (odd) and our remote did not work. went to the front desk for a new one. The bathroom appeared to be more decent than the sleeping area. Shower was nice. This room was 224 Euro for two nights. This room should be a solid 80.. max. I would not stay here again.
