Nancy has two properties in the same building - a B&B and a separate apartment (this is not entirely clear if you book via a third party website). We stayed in the apartment for four nights. We found the apartment to be very clean and well-equipped. Like other self-catering properties that we have stayed in in Italy, the style is homely rather than modern - you feel like you are staying in a friend's apartment rather than a hotel. The apartment has two quiet bedrooms, a large main bathroom including a washing machine, a small separate WC and a kitchen/dining room whose view includes glimpses of the Vatican. There is plenty of storage space and we slept well in the beds. Nancy was a lovely host. She was very helpful and responsive over Whatsapp and helped us with transport from the airport and local restaurant recommendations. She was also kind enough to provide some breakfast items so that we could relax on our first morning. The location is excellent. The apartment is on a main road but situated on the 5th floor with bedrooms on the courtyard side so not noisy (you may find the high floor challenging if you are scared of heights!). At street level there are grocery shops, cafes, restaurants and an excellent ice cream place, and the area feels safe. You are only a few minutes' walk from the Metro and a few blocks from St Peters Square. You can walk into the centre of the city in about 20 minutes if you wish or jump on the Metro.

We just came home from a four night stay at Casa di Nancy. Originally, we had booked a family room at the b&b, but Nancy arranged for us to stay at the apartment instead, which we really appreciated! This review therefore is of the apartment, not the rooms at the B&B. The apartment was great for us as a family, with a bedroom for the kids and one for us, a bathroom and a toilet and a kitchen with kitchenette, sofa and kitchen table - and even a loft with a small desk where our youngest loved to sit and draw. The apartment was clean and so quiet - I always sleep with earplugs when traveling, but didn't have to use them once! (For me it was well worth the small downside that the bedroom had no view.) From the kitchen there was a view out over the houses of Rome, as the apartment is on the fifth floor. We loved being high up, but be aware that the elevator is a small one! We were offered a nice little selection for breakfast - bread, jam, milk, coffee, tea, biscuits - and Nancy was so kind as to shop for us when we ran out of something. She also helped us arrange transportation to the airport when we were leaving. The apartment is close to the metro Ottaviano and just a couple of blocks from the Vatican. Just outside the door is a convenience store and plenty of cafes. We would stay again and would recommend to other families or travelers looking for a pleasant, simple and convenient place to stay.

“Loverly place”

Warm welcome from the start, we went on holiday to rome to see the sights. I'm glad we booked this place to stay for the duration. The vatican museum and st peters basilica is a 5 minute walk down the street, metro station is a couple of minutes. Bed was comfortable, room was quiet.
