The room was nice, had everything you would need, bed was comfy & had a nice rain shower. However the lighting was a bit low in the bathroom. The staff were not around often, seemed to just be there in the morning for check-in/check-out. Reception was closed otherwise. Also on my last night a staff member knocked on the door an hour before check out to tell us to check out in an hour. It was rude & felt like they were rushing us out. Place is in a good location close to Trevi Fountain & a Metro.

“Excellent Location - hassle with automatic check in process”

We stayed here for three nights and cannot fault the location. It is right beside Piazza del Popolo and about a seven minute walk from the Spanish Steps. We stayed here for three nights and cannot fault the location. It is right beside Piazza del Popolo and about a seven minute walk from the Spanish Steps. There are great restaurants just downstairs from the B&B and within in a few minutes walk. The rooms are a good size though the noise from the water pump in the bathroom once you flush, turn on the tap or shower can be quite loud but we did get used to it and doesn't continue when you are not running water. Also, on for the first night we stayed there was really loud music playing until 3am from somewhere close the B&B. It was frustrating but the receptionist did assure us this was once off and to be fair, it was very quiet for the others nights so it seemed we were just unlucky. The breakfast is served to your room and is exceptionally basic. We got croissants which weren't great to be honest though they did take the time to heat them. They served all food and drinks in plastic cups and plates which I thought was particularly bad for the environment and they also only provided plastic cutlery. That really needs to be improved - proper cutlery and plates and cups should be used. I guess the main issue we had with this B&B and one that would make us unsure as to whether to stay again is the failure of their automatic check in process. We arrived at the B&B at 18:30 and had received detailed instructions on how to use this self check in process. It did not work. We had to ring a number and the door was supposed to open, it didn't. We tried on numerous occasions and ended up having to find a number online to ring the B&B (there are no staff members there from late afternoon on I believe). The lady said she had done something to open the door but it didn't work. We were lucky to gain entrance to the building as some residents left and came through the front door. That whole process took 30 minutes. We had the same experience on the day we were leaving and we had left our luggage in the B&B so needed to gain access in the evening to get our luggage. Again, we followed the same process but the door did not open. We were lucky that once more a resident was entering the building so we could gain entrance. The fact that this process failed on two occasions is unsatisfactory and something that the B&B would really need to improve and is why we have not given it a 'Very Good' review. If this process can be perfected, then this B&B is definitely a good choice. I
