This is an excellent family run hotel. It was clean and the family were friendly and very helpful. The breakfast was excellent every day with attentive staff making sure everything was perfect. It was easily accessible to the train station and town centre and was in a quiet area. Rooms were serviced to a high standard. Would we use this hotel again yes 100%.

“Lovely hotel in great location”

Sestri Levante is a wonderful place and the Hotel Genoa is perfectly positioned for making the most of the town and the surrounding area. We had 2 rooms, one standard double and 1 superior twin. Sestri Levante is a wonderful place and the Hotel Genoa is perfectly positioned for making the most of the town and the surrounding area. We had 2 rooms, one standard double and 1 superior twin. The latter was on the third floor and had a balcony which was a bonus. Everywhere is absolutely spotlessly clean. The bathrooms are well equipped with good showers. The hotel is very efficiently run, there's always someone available and all the staff are friendly and attentive. The continental style breakfast is very good, particularly the apple cake and the pine nut torte! We spent a couple of days on the beach where you pay for sunbeds and umbrellas. The man in the hotel gave us some good advice about prices which can vary massively. In July 28 euros for 2 beds and an umbrella on the Bay of Fairytales seemed about the cheapest day rate (more for the front row). The beach clubs next to the public beaches are the cheapest. There's plenty of public space on both bays. We also did the ferry tour to Portofino which was fantastic and the train trip to the Cinque Terre. My advice is to buy the Cinque Terre day pass (about 18.50) it's the cheapest way to do it and you have to pay to use the loo in the station if you haven't got it!

I have stayed at the Genova Hotel many times and every time I enjoy it even more. I recently stayed for 10 nights. This family owned and operated hotel is welcoming and lovely. The breakfast is great and the staff is attentive to every detail.

Hotel Genova is simply a small gem, and I am always positively surprised about how, year after year, the staff is able to improve it in every single detail. Rooms are spacious, extremely clean, and offer a warm welcome thanks to the authentic local flare offered by the furniture and the atmosphere; The breakfast offers an authentic experience of original products from the territory, giving a great start for every day of exploring, eased by the simply perfect position of the facility. Last but not least, the staff comes from an established heritage of professionals, in the business for three generations; they are always kind, available, helpful, and fast in fulfilling every small request. Hotel Genova is a pearl of the hospitality industry in the whole Tigullio region.
