The staff are fantastic, very attentive and genuinely kind, knowledgeable about local attractions and walks. The facilities are being very well kept, good rooms and various parking area. The restaurant was excellent for dinner, open every evening, we ate there several times, lots of freshly prepared food, local ingredients including various game and others. The menu had 6 or more specials and was gradually changing. The house wine including prosecco and other drinks were great. Everything was very reasonably priced. Breakfast had a lot of choice, machines for coffees, teas, cooked eggs, cereals, various breads, pastries, cakes, fruit, yogurts. The eating area was very well decorated and pleasant. The winding road access up the mountain was better than we expected, the road is kept in very good shape.

“Rural charm and great food”

We had a week here and really enjoyed it. It's an interesting 17 minute trip up from lakeside Gravedona, but we loved getting away from the business of the lake, and returning to our mountain retreat with its great food. Dario was very helpful and friendly. We were extremely grateful with how he sorted out our motorway tolls through the internet (these can no longer be paid at toll booths, but have to be settled by internet). We got very accustomed to the trip up the mountain, and visited a number of interesting destinations from here, including the Splugen pass and a trip on the Bernina line, followed by a cable car trip up the Diavolezza mountain. Each evening we came 'home' to a great meal. We loved the pasta and fresh mushrooms, and for pudding a great almond paste we had never seen before. We had that three nights in a row! We also enjoyed the three types of honey Dario had, all from his own hives. On some evenings were were greeted by the braying of the donkey, real rural charm. Our second week was in a normal hotel lakeside nearer Como, and it was not so nice - too hot, too noisy, too many people. Our best memories are from up the mountain.

My husband and I and 2 children just spent one week at this charming and beautiful Agriturismo. We were welcomed with a warmth and service level, which is worth mentioning as something exceptional. It´s definitely the place to stay, if you love the mountains. The view from the terrace and rooms is splendid, and you can find many hiking options just outside the door. You are far away from the noise of the city, but still only a short drive down from the mountain to reach the lake side. The rooms are well decorated and the breakfast is really good. You can also enjoy your dinner at their restaurant, where the food is of excellent quality and at a good price. Dario is and the kitchen chef made our stay memorable. We will for sure be back!

“Quiet escape”

After a busy Christmas, we headed to Lake Como, and escaped to this bed and breakfast. The drive up here is only for the brave! After a busy Christmas, we headed to Lake Como, and escaped to this bed and breakfast. The drive up here is only for the brave! Not only does the road up have many hairpin turns, but the driveway itself is tricky. Didn’t you want to get off the “beaten path”? This is a farmhouse with very good food at a reasonable price. There are donkeys, sheep, and cats here. The food is fresh, and the air invigorating. We stayed in an upstairs room—not much view, but clean and comfortable. Beautiful views of the mountains and lake.
