The hotel is a gem in the lake, with only 13 rooms but a full restaurant and very nice capable staff. It is well situated, a 3-5 minute walk from where the boat leaves you off. We stayed in room 106 on lake, it has a tiny balcony with 2 chairs overlooking lake. We enjoyed spending time there in the late afternoon when the heat has subsided and we just watched the boats go by and enjoyed the beautiful view, the room is well sized for 2 people. The air conditioning worked well, which was critical in the heat wave. It was a bit tricky to figure out how to keep lights on in room. Also,there is no moisturizer or bar soap provided. The service is impressive given that there are only 13 rooms.The staff was very friendly and helpful. They suggested a good place nearby for place for lunch. They helped us figure out our return plans to Milan, noting that trains from Varenna to Milan weren’t working. They were helpful with suggestions for getting to the Como train station from Tremezzo. The room rate includes breakfast, and since there are so few rooms you will be sure to get a table on the terrace and it’s great views and nice breeze! Breakfast includes made to order eggs or omelette plus baked goods, fruit, yogurt and meat and cheese. Shoutout to,our breakfast waitress Isabella. She was very helpful and nice. We peppered her with questions about the boat gas station next door and why it was so busy (answer: the main gas station in Como is closed for some reason) and why we saw so few sailboats (answer: not enough wind here). Not much to see in Tremezzo but this is is a good launching point for visiting Bellagio or the Villa Balbionella.

Hotel Darsena is one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at. It's in a wonderful location on the banks of lake Como and close to ferries to other towns in the area such as Bellagio and Menagio. It's a family run hotel and from the moment my husband and I walked into the hotel we were made to feel at home. Our room was airy and spacious, the staff were amazing and the restaurant was fantastic. We ate in the hotel restaurant twice and each time our meal was the best we'd had during our stay in Tremezzo. The view from the hotel is breathtaking and sitting on the terrace having breakfast, looking at the view , was a perfect way to start the day. I can only give 5 stars but if I could I'd give 10.

An excellent family-run boutique hotel right on Lake Como. It has a great restaurant downstairs, breakfast was included. It is a 5-minute walk to the ferry station. Friendly staff and clean rooms. Parking next to the hotel cost eur5/night.
