“A lovely respite from the crowds.”

Delightful spot off the town center but still within the walls. We had a lovely room with a terrace in their second building. Everything in the building functioned well and the breakfast was simple yet satisfying. Wonderful inn in a wonderful town!

Stayed 3 nights in San Gimignano at the start of our holiday to Tuscany We were a family of three and were given a room in Palazzo Al Torrione 2 which is just a couple of doors up from the main part of the hotel room was very comfortable, nice big beds, bathroom was down a few steps, which was a bit hairy in the middle of the night after some local Vernaccia, but the bathroom was a good size and had a good shower Breakfast was served in the main part of the hotel and was the usual italian offerings, very nice and the coffee was good as well location wise you can't really go wrong in San Gimignano as it's not a very big place but this hotel is located away from the main street so it's a bit quieter and it's also close to Porta San Giovanni so easy to reach the car parks just outside the town there are a lot of steps in this hotel so it might not suit those that have mobility problems

San Gimignano has its special spell at night - so worth not doing a day trip, but staying there over night. Palazzo al Torrione is the ideal location for this: it is located right on the walls of the old town of San Gimignano, so has a nice view across the surroundings, but is also well located for an evening stroll through the streets of the old town. The only difficulty is to get there by car to unload suitcases, as the streets are pretty steep and narrow, but with the help of our landlady, we made it. The Palazzo has been recently renovated in a very charming way - the rooms are modern, but with a traditional touch. The owners are lovely and always available for any questions or help. And the breakfast was probably one of the best we had throughout our entire trip through Tuscany. Fresh fruit, cheese, bread with olive oil, croissants,... and the best fried egg ever.

The rooms are well-kept and comfortable. located within the city walls of San Gimignano it is very convenient to visit the city. It is possible to enter with the car to unload the luggage and then you have to go out to park in one of the paid parking areas outside the walls. The breakfast prepared by the lady of the house is delicious and varied with cakes made by her the night before, cafe, jams, Nutella and Croissant never fail on the table but also eggs and bacon. Nice place and location, good value for money.
