What a fabulous hotel experience, the staff from reception to bar to the restaurant staff and not forgetting housekeeping were all without exception brilliant,attentive, happy to help and very friendly. The pools were lovely and clean as was the poolside area. The pool bar was a joy to relax in after a hard day's sightseeing. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone and will definitely be back. Well done everyone concerned with this hotel 🥰

“An outstanding experience”

This is a beautifully restored and repurposed abbey providing a hotel in a wonderful setting. It is about 30 minutes drive south of Perugia and well situated to visit such gems as Assisi, Spello, Montefalco, Spoleto, Todi and many others. This is a beautifully restored and repurposed abbey providing a hotel in a wonderful setting. It is about 30 minutes drive south of Perugia and well situated to visit such gems as Assisi, Spello, Montefalco, Spoleto, Todi and many others. The lush countryside gave us access to some spectacular landscape, vineyards and olive groves. We stayed for ten days and ate in the hotel restaurant each night. The food was excellent and the menu changed each evening. Georgio helped us choose really good wines from the extensive selection, without breaking the bank. Other staff made us more than welcome showing great humour and warmth - we really enjoyed their company. We need to mention especially Angela, Lorrie, Paulo, Mario, Alessandro, Francesco, Luigi, Sylvia and reception staff. We miss them all.

“Excellent retreat - but serves hot food on cold plates - despite my feedback”

We stayed there with Leger holiday group for Xmas 25 and New year. The barman Luigi is an excellent host and was very entertaining. However, the hotel very annoyingly serves hot food on cold plates. So, on the 2nd day of our stay, I told the receptionist that this did not please me – but in fairness I was giving them a chance to correct it before end of our 10 days stay. They said thank you for opportunity – but did nothing !! I don’t know if they had plate warmers in the hotel . But surely all they had to do was put plates in oven to warm ?? Some of us found the food portions to be too large – and having come from a generation where food wastage was regarded as a sin – we asked if small portions could be requested – We were told NO !!. This is a very strange approach to customer care ! Another annoyance was that water was charged for during evening meals. Well, that would be Ok if it was sealed spring water . But in this hotel, it seems to be tap water. The food was a little repetitive and we were told by the staff that the hotel was closing at the end of our stay and they were using up food stocks. There wasn’t even any ice cream. The outside of the hotel looked a little neglected including outside swimming pools filled with green water. No doubt they well rectify this before reopen in the Spring.

Great hotel with very friendly staff and a great pool. Booked a superior room, which was bigger but was two storey. Bedroom up a curving flight of stairs and the wardrobe area downstairs. Great hotel with very friendly staff and a great pool. Booked a superior room, which was bigger but was two storey. Bedroom up a curving flight of stairs and the wardrobe area downstairs. Which over the week became a bit tedious. I also expected a superior room to have a terrace, or a balcony and possibly a view of the countryside. It had none of those. The restaurant was ok, but towards the end of our stay a large party arrived and the food became worse. Limited choice menu and some dishes not very good at all. Wine was nearly all local and was sensibly priced.
