Very nice hotel not far from the city center. Plenty of free parking nearby. The rooms have individual entrances and are spacious and modern. Double shower, AC, mini fridge. I liked the pictures that I saw online at the time of booking, but personal impression is even better. As it is a small private establishment, the reception is covered only during certain hours and it is recommended to coordinate your time of arrival with the staff just to make sure someone is there at the time of your arrival. I missed that, but the hotel owner reached out to us via email and we had it all sorted out. The person who met us didn`t speak English, but there were written instructions/useful info left in the room, including bus schedules. Everything is thought through. Very pleasant stay and I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Clean and newly renovated rooms with quality fittings, an excellent bathroom but those awful rock hard Italian beds, not exclusive to CQ rooms but favored by most hotels and B and B places in Italy. I can't prove it but have a sneaking suspicion that IKEA might be responsible! The people that run CQ rooms are helpful and always there or at the end of a phone to answer questions so apart from the beds I cannot fault the actual rooms. Light sleepers might find a room on the second floor a better choice to avoid the noise from early risers or those guests who just must re-arrange the furniture at 0200 whilst wearing high heel shoes, and that's just the male guests, the women re-arrange the furniture in army boots whilst using the hair dryer as well! However, it is the location that lets CQ rooms down especially if you are on the rainy side of 50! Situated quite a way from the FS railway station, yes, you could walk there but it is quite a hike and nigh on impossible with suitcases, you will need to budget for an 8 to 14 Euro taxi ride, the price variation takes account of the number of bags for which you are charged extra for. I think the basic fare is around 8 Euro. If you want to take a taxi to the city centre then I guess the fare will be around 16 Euro as it is about twice the distance. There are buses and the excellent Verona Pass which gives you entrance to most city attractions without entrance fee and use of the public transport for a very reasonable one off payment. The buses have only a few seats on them and therefore, if you are elderly or walking disabled then you will find them quite a challenge, Italian bus drivers being what they are! Restaurants in the area of CQ rooms are at best very mediocre except for the Sri Lankan restaurant just across the road which has some interesting dishes but limited options and service did come with a genuine smile. There is no breakfast option at CQ rooms and the suggested breakfast bar gets a thumbs down from me. CQ Rooms gets excellent rating for its rooms and service and if you are fairly fit and/or willing to travel on public transport CQ rooms are fine for a short stay. Verona can 'be done' on a four day visit and you are unlikely to find better appointed accommodation at this price. Just a pity about the location and those damn beds!

Modern rooms facilitated with air conditioning and a beautiful bathroom. We stayed here for one night only and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the room and the friendliness of the staff.. Within walking distance to a bus stop which takes you straight to the centre of Verona. Staff provided us with maps and local restaurant recommendations with 10% off.. The only regret we had was not staying for longer!

Me and the mrs's stayed here for a couple of nights in the middle of a week long holiday in Italy, and on arrival we were greeted by a massive bed, very well furnished room and fantastic looking bathroom. The bed was very comfortable and this coupled with the great black out curtains / shutters and air conditioning meant we got the best nights sleep of our holiday. The apartment is located a minute or so's walk from the bus stop which leads into the city centre, and with a Verona card this travel to and fro is free (Verona card highly recomended by the way). The price was fair and we feel took into account the short bus journey into town. Overall we would recommend CQ Rooms Verona to anyone staying in the city especially if you are driving as there is free parking just outside the room.
