We stayed at the daiichi inn in October for 10 days in total. There were 3 families with our group and we have nothing to complain about. It was very convenient to the train station, local supermarkets and cheap places to eat. There is an awesome noodle bar place a street away from the hotel that cost us $5 each and we went home really full!! We stayed in tsujido to be close to where my brother lives but if you want to be close to Tokyo, it took about an hour commute. Easy distance to Kamakura to visit all that traditional within Japan. The staff speak very little English, if any at all, but were really kind and tried to help us the best they could. Breakfast was OK, mostly a Japanese breakfast but we went with an open mind and tried to enjoy what comes with the country as best as we could. They do have eggs and bacon but not as we know them... The hotel is a few kilometres from the beach but there is a great picnic spot if you have a spare day to laze around. We went on the cheap and booked a semi-double room and I had read from a few different websites that if you are larger than 2 small adults you will be uncomfortable in a semi-double bed. We are by all means not 2 small adults and we found the bed big enough to be comfortable in. The same or a little bigger than an Australia double bed and $30AUS cheaper. The rooms were smaller than what we are us too but it was a big room for Japan. (What my brother tells me) Overall this hotel was great and just what we wanted.

“Good for price, convenient location in Shonan area”

It was within 5min walk from Tsujido satation. Hotel staffs are very kind, and room was clean and good size for Japanese hotel. We liked breakfast, too. They offer Japanese and western dish, so many kind to pick. We were in twin room, so each bed was twin size, and rather hard compare to Americ… more

It was within 5min walk from Tsujido satation. Hotel staffs are very kind, and room was clean and good size for Japanese hotel. We liked breakfast, too. They offer Japanese and western dish, so many kind to pick. We were in twin room, so each bed was twin size, and rather hard compare to American bed. But overall, I enjoyed stay, and it is decent and good hotel. It is not a high-end type hotel, though. Not only train, using bus can be other option to get around shonan area.
