Wow. We were so tentative and fairly apprehensive when we booked and saw reviews on Google and trip advisor. Please, whatever you do, ignore the negative reviews. This place is brilliant. “Lovely!”
Lovely nice spacious room with bath. Breakfast also very good. Only stayed one night but enjoyed it. Those town bells though! No chance of a lie in 😂 Saint Gilgen is a lovely wee town. It was a nice place to stop on our journey.

This is an individual hotel, so different from the chain hotels - beautifully located with easy access via key box if you arrive after the reception is closed. Spacious room, comfortable bed. “Great place to stay!”
Stayed in Hotel Stern last week with my husband and some friends. The room was surprisingly big and comfortable, and the staff were very sweet and helpful. I've stayed in a few hotels in this town now and definitely recommend Stern.

“Youth hostel type of accommodation, rooms look like those of teenagers who decorate their rooms with lots of IKEA stuff”
Peculiar place, a bit too much of everything. The place is cozy but totally cluttered. No visible style. „Less is more“ does not seem to be a topic here. You can hardly walk in the tiny room.
