The hotel is great. A really charming and helpful staff, also very efficient in dealing with requests and giving information. The rooms are fantastic - big, light, clean, modern and comfortable, with huge beds and great in-room decor and amenities. The location is excellent, right in the middle of town, near many cafes, restaurants and bars, and just a block from the Mekong River. The breakfast has good choices, both Asian and Western. There's a gym and a swimming pool, both a bit small, but perfectly adequate. I came for business, and appreciated the good lighting and work desk in the room. A few glitches to be ironed out (e.g. room service was prompt and tasty, but no salt/paper or napkin, aircon initially couldn't be lowered below 20C ... promptly fixed, but then couldn't be raised above 21C!). All in all, I am impressed, and would most definitely return on my next work trip to Vientiane - or if coming on holiday.

We are a family of 3 staying in 1 room and had a great time. The service was impeccable, staff were always polite, helpful, willing to help and always went over the top for us. Special shout out to Aiy, and the duty supervisor whom we didn't get the name of. The restaurant service at Origin was amazing. We want to give a special mention to May, Kitty and Zaiy who've helped us with organizing vegetarian food and going & beyond to make us feel so special! 10/10 would recommend to those looking for a centrally located hotel and are keen to indulge themselves a bit.

I had previously visited the hotel once before. HOWEVER! on my visit last night to celebrate VALENTINES With my partner we couldn't be more pleased. The decor and ambience was fabulous with a well crafted VALENTINES menu on offer. The staff were attentive, smiley and very professional. The background music LIVE outside on the terrace was delightful and everything about the evening well brilliantly 👏 10/10 we be going back very soon. We'll done the HILTON team

We recently stayed at the DoubleTree by Hilton Vientiane, about a 10-minute drive from the airport. Use LOCA ride share app! Check-in was smooth and efficient. Kira at the front desk spoke great English and was helpful. As Diamond members, we were upgraded to a room with a balcony on the 7th floor which we appreciated. The hotel opened in Sept 2024, so it still feels very new. It’s also the first Hilton-branded property in Laos. Of course, we were welcomed with the signature warm chocolate chip cookies — a nice touch after three weeks away from the US. We also received fruit and rice crackers in the room, along with two complimentary bottles of water replenished daily. In-room coffee was available, though the tea selection was limited (one English Breakfast and one Jasmine Green). A caffeine-free option would be a thoughtful addition. The AC worked well the majority of the time. We had the engineer check in one night as the thermostat adjusted itself to 25'C which was too warm. Wi-Fi was reliable, and overall comfort was good. The rooftop pool on the 8th floor is small, with only four lounge chairs adding a few more would help, as one family can easily occupy all seating. The jacuzzi temperature can be slightly warmer! The pool and executive lounge closed early one evening due to a Valentine’s event, though it would be helpful for guests to be informed in advance like during booking, not the day of. Breakfast offered a good variety, roughly 60% Eastern and 40% Western. We enjoyed the rotation over our three mornings but would love to see more authentic Laotian dishes. One area for improvement: table clearing at the buffet. On multiple mornings, used plates accumulated at tables. Interestingly, service was much more attentive on Monday when supervisors/managers appeared to be present. It's also interesting that the chef was teaching a trainee on frying eggs during Sat's breakfast. Friday night featured live music for Valentine’s Day, which was lively but quite loud — even on the seventh floor. While festive, lighter sound control would benefit guests needing rest. Special thanks to Lemon from Careline, who made our anniversary memorable with a lovely dessert and was incredibly resourceful throughout our stay. Pasan in the executive lounge shared valuable Laos travel tips, and Kira and Junior assisted with train tickets and night market recommendations. Overall, a pleasant stay at a modern property. It’s interesting to see a newly built DoubleTree positioned as a five-star hotel here, compared to many US locations that are typically four-stars and many are conversions! ຂອບໃຈຫຼາຍໆ
