Ok Apartments with easy access to Ischgl ski area via a 5 minute bus ride (2min walk to the bus stop). We got a deal with Sunweb which included a 6 day ski pass- the value was very good. There's a small bakery next door and 4 restaurants nearby. Note- Austria seem to love cash, and some places (including this apartment) do not take card payments (in 2023!) The studio apartment was older but fine- all the basics. Very small kitchette. Lots of hot water for the shower. We hired a ski locker in Ischgl to save carting out ski gear around- roughly 10Euros a day. The main issue with the apartments is the noise from other residents. There seems to be one door in the block that repeated slammed on closing, and quite a few loud semi drunk lads arriving back at 11:30pm and then up at 7am making more noise. We won't come back anytime soon. Ischgl is getting very busy on the slopes and commercial. They have even started charging for the free car park :-(

“Stay in cue for bathroom”

We were five in a small apartment : bedroom with comfortable bed , another liliputan bedroom with 2 beds and fantastic mountain view , and a small open space with kitchinette , one bed and a generous 6 persons table . Here comes the real problem : bathroom with 2 washbasins and separate room for toilet but no washbasin inthere . So we had to use the kitchen sink to wash hands after toilet . Where are the sanitary regulations there? You are supposed to get out of a sanitary room with clean hands and not the way we did . Had i been a designer , i would have placed one of those two washbasins in the toilet and a toilet bowl in the bathroom.... When we reached there we were asked 77 more euros for cleaning , so they do apreciate cleanliness . We paid for the internet which was ok but for the mail which simply didn ' t work , neither viber or facebook. Couldn 't solve the problem because the attendant had in charge the next apartment house too and could hardly find her . Or she left there a young only deutch speaking lady. One night we asked for clean towels and the main atendant Silvia , said she is too tired then , as she ' d been on a 1400 km journey to the dentist ' s. I insisted to come myself to fetcth them and she wilingly did allow me. Otherwise , the place is proper ,nice , quiet , very well warmed ,excellent views , 3 min walk to bus station for Ischgl. I will gladly go back in Mathon , making myself sure i will not face "that" problem again . Rush hours , very important for those ones travelling on saturdays to the Munchen airport : between 11 and 14 o' clock the highways have the so called ' stau', which could delay the journey by 2 hours , as it happened to us .

We went in December 2013. Location is good, some 100 metres from ski bus stop, very close to a small bakery/convenience store. Apartments are rather basic - narrow hallway/kitchenette, livingroom room which would need some upgrade, one very small bedroom for kids with a bunk bed and one parent bedroom. It would be ok for EUR 1 ths per week, but not for almost two which we paid. Ischgl skiing is otherwise great, highly recommended.
