Frequently asked questions about Nh Mexico City Valle Dorado

  • What are the top guest reviews of Nh Mexico City Valle Dorado?

The top reviews of Nh Mexico City Valle Dorado are: My stay here was phenomenal, but I do think it’s important to choose this hotel for the right reasons. I booked it because I rented a car and felt comfortable driving in Mexico City. If you’ve never driven in Mexico—or anywhere in Central or South America—Mexico City is probably not the place to start. If your goal is a walkable, central experience in Condesa or Polanco and you don’t plan to drive, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel for a Mexico City–only stay. However, if you are driving outside the city, this location makes a lot of sense. The hotel was much closer to Tolantongo (about 4 hours), which I had planned to visit, as well as several archaeological sites outside the city. That convenience alone made the location perfect for my itinerary. Getting to Xochimilco (around 30 minutes) and Toluca (about 3 hours) from the hotel was also very manageable. The hotel is inside a shopping mall, which was actually a huge plus. There are plenty of food options on the first and second floors (tacos, wings, seafood, etc.), a Starbucks right on the corner, and a very secure parking garage with guards present at all times. I felt safe throughout my entire stay. You’re also about five minutes from another shopping center with banks, a grocery store, beauty salons, and a Walmart. Breakfast was included and truly excellent. The spread included chilaquiles, crema, frijoles, fresh fruit, and a full bakery section, plus the option to order eggs or bacon à la carte. Everything was fresh and well prepared. I also want to highlight Raul, who was phenomenal both at the bar and in the restaurant. I had a very specific drink in mind, and when they didn’t have ginger, he went to the kitchen, peeled fresh ginger himself, and made the drink from scratch. That level of care and attention really stood out. Housekeeping was also very well maintained throughout my stay. Overall, this was a great experience if you’re driving and planning to explore beyond central Mexico City. I also couldn’t beat the price—I paid roughly one-fifth (for the hotel AND the car rental) of what similar hotels in the city center were charging, with breakfast included, during Christmas and New Year’s week..
