immaculate chalets with privacy set amongst park like grounds with fruit trees and lovely landscaping, so nice sitting outside under the veranda watching all the birdlife in the morning, so enjoyed our stay wished we had stayed longer, will return for sure. Bruce, Matapouri Northland

“A must stay when in Alexandra or Clyde”

I would highly recommend Mirabell Chalets, had a wonderful stay. Nice big rooms, with everything we needed for our journey passing through. A great Spa with an organized booking system a great way to unwind after a day exploring in Central Otago.

This place was a delightful change from the modern town motel style. We had our own little house which was actually 2 bedrooms for $185.00. It was a lovely log cabin atmosphere with a pellet fire. This place was a delightful change from the modern town motel style. We had our own little house which was actually 2 bedrooms for $185.00. It was a lovely log cabin atmosphere with a pellet fire. We had full kitchen facilities but some of the crockery was a bit tired and chipped. Once again the non-stick frypan was destroyed by previous visitors so we used our own. On arrival I was a little concerned as the grounds and gardens looked a bit uncared for and wondered if it had all gotten away a bit on the owners, but being winter we werent going to spend any time out there anyway. It was a lovely cosy night in front of the fire with a couple of whiskeys.

For my money, it's the best accommodation in and around Alexandra! I have stayed 9 times over summer with work and with family and loved it every time. Friendly hosts that cater to your needs, gardens to walk around, pools and spa to relax in. Homely enough to make you feel at home and relaxing enough that you don't feel like your working. Safe for the kids to run around in, quiet enough that you don't hear kids running around! Clean and tidy, a short distance to everything you need, far enough away that you don't feel like your caught up in everything. A place that has been a home away from home yet I still enjoy sorting my own recycling in the bins knowing that my rubbish is going to use not waste and they are committed to providing a welcoming, clean and sustainable environment to enjoy. Quaint rooms with character, decks and chairs for summer, heaters and electric blankets for winter.. nothing else you could want or need and cheap enough that you can spend the change on a treat for yourself from the vineyard across the road!
