Lovely hotel keeping a high standard of service and great food. We really enjoyed our stay, surrounded by relaxing nature. The Spa is also very high standard. Everything looks new and classy. They even make their own ice-cream at the hotel and I strongly recommend the one with CARROT CAKE favour! Also their own wine is very very good. I recommend to try Hurdalsjøen Riesling. Very friendly and professional staff both at reception and restaurant.

Fantastic hotel. Very good breakfast with many choice. Beautiful surroundings. Friendly hospitality. Clean rooms and good beds. Good food in restaurant. We wil certainly come back. High value for money. Excellent staff.

Went for a conference and there are a few thing I miss as a conference hotel. There was no water in the conference room and on the breaks we queued for the coffee machines so we kept comming back late. Went for a conference and there are a few thing I miss as a conference hotel. There was no water in the conference room and on the breaks we queued for the coffee machines so we kept comming back late. The hotel is very nice the breakfast and lunch buffet are plentiful with good food. We had dinner in the big sami tent and it was a good experience and to my great surprise we didn't smell of somke from the bon fire. It was very misty when we were there but is seems like the nature is beautiful

Overall a decent place, though some areas could use some upgrades. The entrance and lobby is well sized and nicely appointed/decorated. The hallway to the rooms looks like you're walking down a solitary confinement block in a prison. Rooms are tiny. We had a Junior Suite, the second largest room, and it was still very small. The bathroom is ridiculously small, to include the shower enclosure that folds to try and provide more room. Good idea, but doesn't really help with more room, and then leaks across the entire floor of the bathroom when you take a shower. Service at the front desk was excellent. Service in the restaurant varies widely. At lunch we were the only couple in there until a second couple came in part way through our meal. We still had to search out the waitress a couple different times after ordering to get additional condiments and then our bill. She never checked up on us on her own. Lunch was overall average, my wife enjoyed her truffle soup, my pulled pork sandwich was average. The side of fries was very nicely sized. Service during dinner was very good, but the food left a lot to be desired. The lamb shank was obviously previously cooked then reheated. The meat was cooked, but the interior by the bone was still cold. Spa services were very nice. The massage was good, as was the sauna. The outdoor floating sauna with a hole cut in the ice for cold therapy is a nice amenity. The pool is also very nice. Breakfast buffet and coffee bar was excellent.
