“A great place to visit and stay”

A great place to unwind and re-charge. Great and helpful staffs. Great and clean cabin. The surrounding nature is amazing and the cabin properties are well maintained.

We enjoyed our 4 nights beginning Sept. very much. Had a self-contained 2-bedroom cabin near the entrance. Supberb and tranquil location, easy reach to some interesting hikes with magnificient views. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The on-site restaurant has a very refined menu and courteous staff. Very recommended. The bakery serves oven fresh bread and bakeries. PS: The cabin needs some renovation, wear and tear is very visible. However, it was fully functional.

While this isn't a luxury hotel, I gave it five stars because I loved it. I stayed in the "standard" 2-bedroom cottage with sea view, which had a funky charm. It was neither new nor modern but had its charm and had been very well maintained. I appreciated my stunning view and the fact that, because the cottage was its own separate unit, it was very quiet (even though the hotel was fully occupied.) Very comfortable and perfect for one person. Kitchenette sufficient for making all my meals. I was very happy here. If you go to Eliassen Rorbuer, pay close attention to which room type you are choosing -- there are many options, and many lack views or are not free-standing. Some parts of the resort looked a little crowded to me, but I was very happy with my choice. I was surprised by how peaceful and comfortable it was.

This is a difficult review to write because the location is just spectacular, but the property itself isn’t 5 stars in my opinion. It is not actually like a hotel where there is housekeeping services provided daily, it is truly a very nicely updated and modern fisherman’s cabin (more like an Airbnb). We stayed in a superior oceanfront 1 bedroom cottage (cabin 50B) which was comfortable and had incredible views (especially of the northern lights!). Keep in mind that the restaurant on the property is closed, so you will have to either dine off property every night, or cook in your cottage. I would suggest a rental car from Leknes Airport which is the closest to the property. Overall it was a nice stay with nice people at reception.
