Weak to zero cell signal and thus, you can unplug from the rest of the world. I l appreciate its unobtrusive yet efficient staff. And most of all, I love that everything is on time, all the time.

We had such a lovely stay here! The staff—especially Sir Bernard, Leo, and the rest of the team—were incredibly kind and welcoming, which really made the whole experience even better. The place itself feels magical—honestly, one of those spots that just takes your breath away. If you’re coming here, definitely book the island hopping tour. The waters were some of the clearest and most beautiful we’ve ever seen, and the corals and surrounding islands were just stunning. Also—SNORKELING, SNORKELING, SNORKELING!!! Don’t miss it! Our room was comfortable, especially the bed. The pillow was a bit big for our liking, but that might just be personal preference. There were a few insects in the room, but honestly, that’s kind of expected in an island resort setting. We did have a small issue with the water at one point, but it was fixed immediately. The pools were amazing, especially the one up on the hill—super scenic and perfect for relaxing. Food was great too! Portions are quite filling; one order is enough for one person. We ended up sharing meals as a couple, though I had some tummy issues at the time—otherwise we probably would’ve ordered more. The tinola was especially good. Their homemade ice cream is so yummy. Unfortunately, the restaurant was being renovated during our stay, as well as parts of the game room. The game room was still functional though, so we were still able to enjoy it. The restaurant area has a lot of potential to offer an even more beautiful view and a more comfortable dining experience—we hope it will be fully fixed soon. There’s no WiFi in the rooms, but it wasn’t really a problem since Globe signal was strong. Getting there was also smooth—we traveled from Codon Port in Catanduanes, and the boat ride was quick with calm waters. As a bonus, you even get a view of Mt. Mayon. We visited at the beginning of April, and the weather was perfect. Overall, such a memorable experience—we’d absolutely recommend it.

First of all a big thank you to Rochelle (Manila based) My contact before arriving at the resort. Very very responsive with various arrangements, suggestions, transfers etc. She takes on any queries, concerns with genuine attentiveness as if a friend doing her best for a friend. Every business should have a Rochelle! The transfer from my Virac accommodation to the resort went like clockwork and also the return transfer to the airport too. Location is beautiful although the beach and lake area could do with a bit of a clean up here and there. The room was super although the large tiles in the large shower area had large cracks in most of them but were filled with tile grouting. Not the best look. Lovely hot water, probably the best I’ve had in the Philippines in such a remote location like this. It did stop working once, but the maintenance guy came so quickly and resolved the issue brilliant! If there are any issues here they are resolved quickly. I do like that. It’s one of those resorts where you have to give your food orders and the time you want to eat in advance. I’ve seen this before in the Philippines. I felt as though I was working to a roster which is something I wanted to leave behind for a few days, having had an afternoon nap and been woken up at 6pm to tell me my dinner had arrived half asleep,I ate it! I was a little bit annoyed when I hadn’t even finished eating my breakfast when I was being asked about lunch. The food choices (lunch and dinner menu are the same) limited, with the size, quantity and quality erratic.The meals were supposed to be good enough for 2 people (they say 200g serving, they weigh it!) but some dishes when they arrived looked barely enough for one ie. mixed grill pork/fish)

Im still amazed on this plaxe even though that this was my 2nd visit here at tugawe.although the weather didnt cooperate thats why they cancel our bonfire at first day but we did a wonderful visit on island hopping.there are still need to be fixed on the room i mean maintenance but overall my girlfriend and I together with her daughter really have a wonderful time staying here for 3 days and 2 night.sure ill be back nxt year.
