A pleasant family run small hotel. The rooms are small but adequate and clean. If you can get one of the 3 huts they are definitely the ones to go for as they are spacious and have amazing bathrooms and a lovely veranda with a hammock. We unfortunately weren’t in one of those. The staff are pleasant and breakfast is included and it is very centrally located and a 5 min walk to the beach. They also sell wine and beer for the evening. One thing I have to mention though is the awful basketball court directly behind the hotel which blares music and incessant commentary from 3pm until up to 1am every night. Absolutely dreadful. We were in an upstairs room and asked to be moved downstairs. The noise was dreadful and we could hardly even watch a film in our room one evening as you couldn’t hear it. The owners did move us and the downstairs room was better. Such a shame as it was not very relaxing. I would recommend you request a downstairs room or a hut.

“Friendly, comfortable place to spend a week”

The bamboo bungalow in which we stayed for a week was comfortable, spacious, clean and beautiful. The bathroom was amazing with all the different inlaid stones . . . an acupressure treatment for your feet. The cold-water shower took some getting used to. The bed was comfortable but we needed to wear ear plugs to sleep, as the walls were thin and we could hear people talking, dogs barking and roosters crowing, among other things. The fan was great for moving the air around, but you had to be a giant to reach the controls. The breakfast was basic: a fried egg with 2 pieces of toast, a banana and super yummy brewed Swedish coffee. We supplemented the breakfast with sweet buns from the bakery around the corner. The Filipina co-owner and her staff were friendly and helpful, always available to chat or provide local travel advice. We booked a wonderful island-hopping tour, a motorbike rental and a van trip to Puerto Princesa thru the resort. We loved the one-eyed calico cat who lived there. It visited us every time we sat out on our deck. If the resort had high-speed internet, warm water and aircon, we would have stayed even longer.

The accomodation was nicely set around a small lawn with a open air dining area where you could enjoy the included breakfast or hang out during the day. The rooms were basically furnished but nicely finished and tidy. The rooms have a strong fan attached to the wall which is great for sleeping. The breakfast was a fried or scrambled egg with some toast and a banana with tea and coffee (instant like everywhere in Philippines) that you could help yourself to. The accomodation can book buses to El Nido and Puerto Princesa as well as the island hopping trips. The wifi is terrible (although this is the case for most places in Port Barton as they are upgrading in northern Palawan) and despite other parts of Port Barton having very good 4g phone reception on Globe there was pretty much none here. The biggest downside which is not the fault of the owners but needs to be mentioned is the raging discos that happen at the basketball court/stadium and council building right behind this property. We stayed during christmas/new year period and the rave music base was felt in the floor and the music could be heard from 3 blocks away plus it went until 3am- ridiculous!! I would not stay again just in case this happened again depsite them having nice rooms.
