From the moment we arrived at Raiwasa, we knew it was something special. The staff welcomed us warmly, like old friends, but with the professionalism and attention you’d expect from a top resort. Every meal was incredible, made just for us and served in a new, beautiful spot each time, whether by the cliff, the pool, or overlooking the ocean. The villa was spotless and beautifully designed, with lots of space and total privacy, surrounded by tropical gardens. We had our own beach access, perfect sunset views, and little surprises like fresh cookies after a snorkel, thoughtful touches that made us feel completely taken care of. What really stood out was the genuine care behind everything. The people here aren’t just doing a job, they truly want you to have an unforgettable time. We didn’t just relax; we left feeling incredibly thankful. I’d give it more than 5 stars if I could.

We came to Raiwasa with our family (myself, wife, and son), a family friend, and her son in the summer of 2025. From top to bottom, we have all had an amazing time. The staff deserve all the credit, as it adds so much to the experience when they take a genuine interest in getting to know us and sharing the Fijian culture. Dining is top-notch, with freshly prepared gourmet breakfast, lunch, and dinner every day. I wish I had been able to try everything! I can only eat so much delicious food though... Before our stay, we upgraded to the Gold+ package (same as Platinum but without alcohol), which I really enjoyed due to daily spa treatments. It also adds some extra included activities, but you can pay a la carte for them if you do not upgrade. Of them all, the Lavena Coastal Walk is a must. There are a few ways to do it, but I highly recommend what we chose (hike to the waterfall and take a boat back). A couple of included activities (at any package level) we also enjoyed were the cooking class and garden tour. I recommend doing those a few days in after you and the staff have gotten to know each other because it's more fun and intimate that way. And of course, take some time to enjoy the property itself. The location and the views are amazing, and there's nothing like waking up and having a cup of coffee with the expanse of the ocean in front of you.

The environment at Raiwasa seems built to envelop you in the warm embrace of the glorious and wild garden island of Taveuni. The villa is set amongst lush gardens and intimate spaces with sweeping views of the Fijian waters from the poolside, beachside, and house deck bures. Each spot gives a unique vista of the natural beauty that surrounds the property. The staff also offer their versions of warm embraces. They truly love sharing their culture and lives with guests. Small touches added to itineraries, spa treaments, and meals make for an incredible and unforgettable experience. I particularly loved the excursions to the natural water slide and coastal walk in Lavena and cooking lesson with the chefs. I wish I could bottle the sights, sounds, and smells of this beautiful, verdant island. Adventure and luxury at its finest.

One of the best hotels in the world! This place is true magic. This was our second stay at Raiwasa, and it, again, exceeded our expectations. From the first contact with Patrick and Richie after you book your stay to the heartfelt thank you note from them after your departure, everything about the Raiwasa experience is personal and perfect. While you are at Raiwasa, it is your home and the staff is your family. The meals are a highlight at Raiwasa. Each table is set beautifully. We love the different linens and napkin holders that make each meal unique. There are also several options of place to dine. The food is spectacular, and they also have great options for picky eaters like my son. He was a huge fan of the chicken skewers, chicken schnitzel, pasta, bacon and passion fruit. The chef also did a cooking demonstration for us. We make the Kokoda (Fijian ceviche) and then had it for lunch. My kids also enjoyed ordering milk shakes and juice in the afternoon by the pool. We enjoyed a combination of exciting adventures off-site and relaxation on site during our 3-night stay. I highly recommend snorkeling the reef in front of the hotel and kayaking or paddle boarding. Massages on the patio with the sea breeze are heavenly. We also enjoyed the kids garden scavenger hunt and basket making demonstration. The pool is also perfect for Marco Polo! My highlight the last two trip is the waterfall hike! It is a 35-minute drive on a dirt road to the waterfall hike. It is an easy 10-minute hike to the first waterfall which is spectacular and offers a beautiful swimming hole and a spot to jump. I highly recommend hiking to all 3 waterfalls if you are physically able (it is quite steep, slippery and footing is uneven). The hike through the jungle is spectacular. We spent about 2 hours at the waterfalls hiking and swimming at each spot. It was a highlight for our whole family! Last trip we did the rainbow reef which is a must do! Some of the most spectacular snorkeling and diving in the world. This trip we went fishing. It wasn't the most successful day, but we caught one fish which was very exciting, and the chef was able to cook it for my son for dinner. Even if you don't catch much, it is worth taking a boat out to see Taveuni from the sea. I also highly recommend the 1/2 day island tour. We did I both trips. The international date line is such unique thing to see. Definitely worth getting the pictures of the kids jumping from yesterday to today. My kids also love the natural waterslide. It is such a thrill and really beautiful. Our family highly recommends Raiwasa! The picturesque setting, the attentive and friendly staff and the amazing activities make it one of our favorite places in the world.
