I chose the Profit Hotel because of it's location near the Kremlin & was delighted with the choice . i would guess that it's customers are usually business men but unlike many hotels that usually cater for that market this was a modern , clean , comfortable hotel that I would recommend. It was easy to get a taxi to this hotel from the railway station even at 2am the taxi driver knew where it was & took us straight there pointing out some of the city's landmarks on the way. The room was spacious , bright & clean with a beautifully modern bathroom Check in was quick & easy (a relief at 2am ) Tea & coffee making facilities & modern TV & DVD with the possibility to hire/borrow DVDs from reception. Breakfast was served in a cafe on the same floor ( above a bank) A good choice of meals in a nice clean dining area. On our second day my friend was given an English version of the menu which she greatly appreciated. The staff were helpful & booked a taxi to Yasnaya Polyana & back for us but were unable to help when I asked about booking train tickets to Moscow suggesting that we take a taxi. ( we went to the station & bought tickets there) The air conditioning was good & quiet & the double glazing very efficient. There was no information pack but Most guests probably come for meetings & to work but due to it's location the main sights are nearby . Unfortunately the Kremlin area was under renovation , so we enjoyed wandering in the gardens & looking at all the churches. The Gostinyy Dvor shopping centre had a good choice of eateries on the top floor. The hotel is opposite the circus which is lively in the evenings. The only thing I would change in the room was the old fashioned looking bedspreads which covered the good quality crisp white bed linen ( a real shame)

The main advantage of the hotel its central location in Tula. The main advantage of the hotel its central location in Tula. "Profit" is located just in front of the Circus and only a minutes walk from Tula Kremlin, "Gostiny Dvor" mall on Sovetskaya str., local Puppetry theater and other main attractions, but the room prices are considerable cheaper than similar rooms in "SK Royal", "Armenia" and other Tula hotels in the city center. Still, there are some important points which tourists from other countries should take into account before they book "Profit". Breakfast is served in the old Russian (or maybe "Soviet") style, so no variety of foods, but need to choose from 5 (not always all of them are available) menus with the same simple "narezka" and russian food like "blinchiki", "syrniki" etc'. Technical service in the hotel is not on the "western" level at all. For example, air conditioner in the room wasn't working properly, their technician (which was very busy and it took half day for him to visit us and to check the problem) couldn't fix it and instead he's tried to explain us we don't understand how air conditioner should work. :-) Anyway, his explanations didn't help to fix the problem. On the other side, rooms were spacious and well equipped and receptionists at the hotel were nice, helpful, and have tried to assist us with any issue.
