“An exceptional experience”
From start to finish, the service was exceptional. Arrival, orientation, game drives, hospitality and meals, porter service, amenities, check out - I highly recommend the lodge as a destination.

“Christmas in the bush”
We had such an amazing good time at Makalali Private Game Reserve! The staff is great and their service goed beyond your imagination. All of the staff were super friendly and offered any service you would possibly think off. We'll come back for sure.

What a great 4 nights spent here! From the first welcome through to the service from all the staff during our time here you cannot fault it. Wonderboy who was our guide on safari was amazing. His knowledge and ability to spot the animals was on another level. Food was good with plenty of choice. … more

“A bit of heaven in South Africa.”
Amazing place!!! Wonderful, caring and efficient staff. Delicious food, great variety. Fabulous safaris. The guest rooms are spacious, spotlessly clean, with wonderful views of the reserve.
