It was the cheapest hostel I could find while visiting Jeju. Really good value per price. I reserved this through 'Hotels.com' which supports Paypal. 9.47 USD for 4-male dorm. Total 11.46 USD. It's a little bit expensive to me. This was the cheapest hostel available in Hotels.com, which is the reason I booked here. And I found that there were lots of foreigners. Because it was cheap.... This was transformed from old motel(yeokwan). Therefore each room has its own toilet and shower. And top floor you can find common room and also kitchen. I think the owner made right decision. This is the way to make more money...

“Good for your basecamp in Jeju”

To get there from the airport, I took bus number 181 about 1 hour. I stopped at Jungan Rotary. I walked around 4-5 minutes to the guesthouse. I was arrived at there around 1:30 PM. And I could immediately check-in. The room was spacious. I have two pillows, one is thicker than the other. I find the bed is hard. The bathroom is old but works perfectly. There are toiletries available. If you leave the room, put your key on the receptionist table so they could clean your room. The service is good. They changed the towels and emptied the bin every day. The facilities are good, it isn’t luxury but they have many things, like oven, microwave, shoe dryer, 2 washing machines, water dispenser, fridge, a drying rack. So you will get anything you need. Sometimes the internet was a bit slow. Location is really good. Many buses to reach many tourist destinations. Perfect place as your basecamp in Jeju. And on foot, you can reach interesting places, like the food streets, a waterfall, or a fresh market. Verdict: I enjoyed my stay here.

Pretty old building giving you the feeling that is not clean but it is and quite comfortable with heated floor and heated mattress. From the airport, take bus 181 and get off at Jung Ang rotary station and the guesthouse is only 5 mins walk away. My roommate was a korean lady. She was quite loud when she woke up and she woke up early. But when I woke up she offered to cook breakfast and shared with me. Very nice lady. Just that I had to sleep at the same time and wake up at the same time with her otherwise I won’t get enough sleep since I’m a very light sleeper. The owners are very kind and helpful. When I first checked in, he asked me to pay 55,000 won after he realized that it should be 50,000 won, he gave 5,000 won back to me. Very honest guy. I had so many questions of how to get around and where to go. The guy answered every single of my question with a smile. They even lent me a pair of crampons for my hiking Hallasan. Also carefully told me which bus to take. There are water dispenser on the main floor at the reception and on the top floor. There are also washing machines on the top floor where you can do free laundry. Top floor seems to be a common area but when I was there, there were just me and my roommate. There was no kitchen stove and utensils but my roommate had pack a whole kitchen with her so she cooked with her own utensils. Seems like she will stay here for a long time. As opposed to how old the building look, the WiFi is super fast and accessible everywhere in the building.

First of all, the staff doesn't respond to emails and cannot be reached by phone. So when I was lost in Jeju, I spent an hour of walking and eventually get a cab because I couldn't reach the hostel to ask for directions. When I got there, I was assigned to the 4th floor only to learn that the building doesn't have a lift. I had to carry and drag my luggage through the stairs. The only consolation was how comfortable the bed was. Otherwise, I would have been truly disappointed. Also, if you get to know your route, the Seogwipo square and bus stops are very near the hostel.
