Very friendly, incredibly cheap (£106 for seven nights!), delicious food (lunch and dinner anyway, 8 euros for a tasty hot buffet). Breakfast is too carby biscuit and bread-based, so not great for a diabetic, but one can get cheese and meat from the alimentacion shop across the road in the Plaza Pio XII, which has a beautiful red-and-yellow church and a little garden one can sit in. The area is decent, unpretentious, working-class and beautifully-kept, with lime-trees planted along the pavement, the citrus fruit one can pick straight from the tree. Excellent coffee and tapas a minute away. The room was clean, with a lovely hot shower, quiet, jasmine-scented and tranquil inner courtyard. It's about 30 mins to walk to Malaga's historic centre. Definitely recommended.

“Continental, Buffet Breakfast included”

Excellent breakfast !!! Good coffee and Goodnatural orange juice! For example: many different types of bread and butter, jam, coffee, tea, milk, cream,cereals , orangijuce, fruit, crisps, biscuits, dessert..etc

The hostel is located a good 30-minute-walk from the city centre and about the same distance to the nearest beach, there is a bus stop near the hostel (€1.30) a taxi will take you to the centre in 5 minutes for 5 - 6€. The hostel is located a good 30-minute-walk from the city centre and about the same distance to the nearest beach, there is a bus stop near the hostel (€1.30) a taxi will take you to the centre in 5 minutes for 5 - 6€. It is a youth hostel and not a hotel. The rooms are simple but clean, each with a bathroom of its own and air-conditioning, there is wlan which is on the slow side. Breakfast is bread, jam, cereals, coffee, tea, yoghurt and some cookies. Don't expect cheese, eggs or cold cuts. We once had the lunch buffet at € 8 which offered a choice of salad, different meat, poultry and fish, rice and chips. Of course there is no bar but some vending machines. I recommend the place for school travel or travellers on a budget.
