“Good for Overnight”

Good location, as far as being close to Motorway - but is next to a Lorry Park and opposite a large Factory BUT does not really affect staying. Large , clean room. Plenty of parking space and more secure underground parking if required. Drink and Food Machines in Lobby. Dog Friendly. Good value

I live in Spain and was returning home to Alicante province from a trip to the UK on Brittany Ferries via Santander. The ferry got in at 6.00pm, so we wanted somewhere a couple of hours drive from the port to make inroads into our eight hour drive home. This hotel fit the bill. I booked with Booking.com, it cost us 53 euros bed and breakfast for two. It won't win any awards for scenic location, in fact it's in the middle of a large industrial area just off the motorway, but it's cheap, modern, functional and clean (except see my comments on shower). The young lady on reception was very welcoming and efficient. There is a Repsol petrol station next door, a bank of electric re-charge points in the car park and the road outside was crowded with parked trucks, it's obviously a well used trucker overnighter. The room was clean, there was a good air con/heating unit, the large beds were very comfortable and the shower was nice and hot, with adequate towels provided. I can forgive a hotel a lot if those basics are attended to. The only downside for me was quite a bit of black mould in the grouting in the (large) shower stall - someone ought to get it off. The breakfast was basic, just bread, jam, pastries, cereal, yoghurt and hot and cold drinks, but adequate to fill yourself up before hitting the road. There is a basic restaurant attached to the hotel which we found to be convenient and quite good for dinner on arrival. They do a three course menu of the day including a drink for 11 euros from lunchtime until 10.00pm, everything was tasty and well cooked, and the service was friendly. I'd use this place again for an overnight stop, just don't expect luxury.

“Disappointed”

I used to recommend this hotel but after our last visit I can't, after a nine hour drive to get there we were greeted by a check in machine as reception was closed they are now only open in the mornings for check out, well we got our room key found our room and it was dirty and looked very tired … more

I used to recommend this hotel but after our last visit I can't, after a nine hour drive to get there we were greeted by a check in machine as reception was closed they are now only open in the mornings for check out, well we got our room key found our room and it was dirty and looked very tired and dated definitely needs a refurbishment. The Showwr bas had a big crack In it too. We book this hotel when we travel to England as it's on route to France and is or was a good stop over with a secure carpark well it was till last night, 14/07/2020 the underground carpark was closed and had no access, the only good thing was the restaurant next door was open the staff were friendly and the food and coffee hot.
