“The ambience is so peaceful”
What a discovery ! The staff couldn’t have been friendlier . The 12 century monastery has been carefully restored and it retains all of its character . The rooms are not large and neither is the bathroom but room 16 was the most wonderful duplex for myself and my husband . We fell in love and ended… more

“Fantastic place”
Stunning place, well located for village. The queen rooms are large (I understand the standard rooms (which are converted monks cells) are small. Secure parking for motorbikes. Staff really friendly. A 3 course meal €15 euros and the food was fantastic. Breakfast was a continental buffet.

Firstly the monastery itself is beautiful and has lovely gardens. The staff were all really attentive, check in was efficient. The rooms however are very hot, with no fan or air con. “Poor rooms, lovely garden”
We were invited to upgrade to a duplex room with a view. Sadly this meant we were sleeping on a platform with 2 single beds at right angles. “On tour.”
Lovely building, quirky but soundproof between bedrooms was non existent. I could hear every word from the next bedroom! I sent a text message to our friends next door bedroom, heard it delivered and heard them read it out! Food was excellent but rather late opening 8.30 pm for us!
