My stay in the Superior Double Sea View Room was tranquil and comfortable, with no disruptive noise. The room offered breathtaking views of the Tamsui sunset and the morning light over Guanyin Mountain, creating a remarkable visual experience. To reach the Guanhai Tower Sea View Hotel, transfer from Hongshulin MRT Station to the light rail, alight at Ganxinlin Station, and walk 8 minutes. There’s a bus stop in front of the neighboring building, providing convenient access to Tamsui MRT Station with just three stops away and frequent services. The breakfast, featuring simple yet delicious congee, reflected the chef’s attention to detail. The second-floor restaurant, with its large floor-to-ceiling windows, offered a wide and refreshing view. Enjoying breakfast by the window with a rich coffee was a delightful way to start the day. Highlights of the trip included exploring Tamsui Old Street for local foods, strolling along the Tamsui River, and visiting the Hongshulin Nature Reserve. The only downside was the lack of nearby dining options, so on rainy days, I had to make do with convenience store meals.

“View & value but staff!!!”

Close to the local night market and Metro station and the great river view from the room but the front desk staff unprofessional service shocked us! Talking behind the customs when they were entering the lift ( one of the customs knew the dialect..)...

The See's Revert is a pleasant, clean and well-located business hotel. I had an end room on the 8th floor, with a splendid view of the mangrove nature park and boardwalk, the river, and Guan Yin mountain over the river. I gather the hillside rooms are currently facing a construction site. The rooms are attractively designed in soothing cream colours, with the bathrooms in cream and brown, with ochre and terracotta accents. Bed linen is good quality striped damask, although all the pillows are rather flat and heavy, with a texture rather like bean bags. A spare pillow and blanket is provided. All rooms have their own airconditioning controls which work perfectly. The lights also had many options for reading and general illumination, as well as faders. No rack for luggage in my room, and also only three clothes hangers, but a nice easy chair with footstool and side-table. Television, water boiler and mini fridge provided. Cheap slippers, but no bath robe. Bathroom amenities are of average quality, but tick all the boxes. Very good shower, with lots of hot water and very good water pressure. Towels are plentiful, clean and absorbent, but not very large. The staff are obliging and professional, but speak very little English. Breakfast is fairly average -- plain rice porridge every day with a rotating selection of condiments, toast and a few pastries, one or two types of fruit, coffee (tea is provided in the room). The See's Revert is about 45 minutes from Taoyuan International Airport. The Hongshulin MRT station and convenience stores are about 500 meters away. There is a bus stop directly outside the hotel; frequent buses go to the attractions of nearby Tamsui, including the night market. The area is fairly quiet, apart from the busy roads, but well-lit and seems safe. One stop away on the MRT is Zhuwei, where there is a Starbucks and many Chinese eateries and a night market, although most restaurants seem to close on weekdays around 10pm. Two stops away at Guandu is the Guandu Nature Park and Guandu Temple, as well as Taipei National University of the Arts. This is a great hotel if you need access to the outlying northwest areas of Taipei, but as it's about 45 minutes by train from Taipei Main Station, it's not good if you are focused on exploring Taipei.

I stayed at See's Revert with 14 college students and one colleague for 2 1/2 weeks while we were participating in a cultural exchange. The staff was absolutely fantastic -- sweet, gracious and accommodating. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the air conditioning was really powerful. It is, though, kind of a hike from Taipei City on the MRT. Make sure to get a room on the street side of the hotel.
