“Nice hotel, comfortable but not luxury”

The room is bright, clean and tidy with river view. The only minus point is the toilet is a bit tiny even though the bathroom is spacious. Food is good and customer service is excellent. Massage service is not top but ok. Highly recommended.

We’ve stayed in this Resort twice thru the era of X2 in last year to Xcape recently, in Pool Villa and the XFloat Luxe respectively. We found the Resort a stylist one adopting mainly industrial theme design, with luxury details in Pool Villa and nautical style in XFloat. We spent 3-4 days in the previous visits, enjoying different facilities like massage in the spa, playing canoe in the river, sun bath on the private pier or just spend a lazy day at the private pool. Good catering is available in the Bridge. You can choose varieties of delicious food including thai, western and HK style. The service is excellent, staff are cheerful, attentive and helpful. They will serve you well in the restaurant and provide you what you want in the room just with a call to the front desk. Besides enjoying the Resort, you may visit the tourist attraction like River Kwai Bridge and giant rain tree which are just in the vicinity. For golfer like me, you may play some rounds of golf in the nearby golf courses which are within 1/2 to 1 hour drive only. The courses are of competitive price and with decent condition in both fairway and green. Need to mention the Grand Prix Golf Club which is a scenic and challenging course you must play. Good job and well done. I will surely come again.

I had the opportunity to stay at The Xcape River Kwai from 15–18 December 2025. Overall, it was a pleasant stay, and I would like to especially commend the morning and daytime staff during 15–17 December. They were extremely kind, professional, and attentive, always willing to assist and provide helpful recommendations. Their service standard was excellent and left a very positive impression. However, I would like to share a concern regarding the service provided by the night-shift staff on the night of 16–17 December. Unfortunately, the level of service during this period did not meet the same standard. The issues involved the manner of welcome, communication, and overall approach toward guests, which was disappointing. On that night, I was sitting in the hotel library working when a night-shift staff member approached me and simply said, “Closed already. Closed.” She then walked away without providing any further explanation. This manner of communication felt inappropriate and caused confusion. The following morning, I asked the morning staff about the library’s operating hours and was informed that the library is open at all times, even late at night. Only the lights in the downstairs restaurant area are turned off, while the upstairs library remains available for guests to use. This information clearly contradicted what I was told by the night-shift staff. As such, I would like to kindly ask where the service standard lies in this matter. I respectfully request that the management review this issue to ensure consistency in communication and service standards, so as to avoid confusion for guests in the future. In particular, the female staff member working the night shift on 17 December showed an unprofessional attitude, and I believe improvement in mindset and service approach is necessary. Once again, I would like to sincerely thank the morning and daytime staff for their excellent service, and I hope this feedback will be taken constructively to further improve and maintain consistent service quality across all shifts.
