We just walked in and booked one night. Excellent friendly staff, Neatless clean, and spacy rooms. Nice and reasonable food. Direct access to the beach. Free minibar. A very good choice to relax for sure

We came here for a couple days to check out the beach and the area - which has an interesting and big cave within easy driving distance as well as a lovely big market that is not far away on the Myanmar border - and which sells lots of unique orchids amongst other typical Thai market items. We stayed at this resort on the recommendation of friends who visit Baan Saphan quite often. They told us this is the best resort in the area. The resort is quite spread out and located on a hillside overlooking the beach. We stayed in a villa not quite on the beach but near enough to have a view from the pool. Our private pool was small but clean and refreshing. The villas are Bali-style with bedrooms separated from the lounge area and kitchen. Everything was very clean and modern. The lounge area had air con, sofa and chair, tv. The kitchen had a large fridge, sink and table for private dining. The glass doors leading to the path between the two rooms were so clear and clean that we bumped into them a few times - and you had to be careful about the step up and down into the separate room areas or you could stumble. The bedroom also had air con and was a good size - it had a large window which overlooked the pool and beach. The bed was comfy, bathroom and shower were spacious, and the water pressure was awesome. Wifi was good - we had no problems with the internet connectivity. The path to our villa was VERY steep. If you are mobility impaired you need to take the golf carts offered at the front desk. Walking and pulling your suitcases uphill can be challenging, even if you are in good shape. The restaurant was not quite fully open - and breakfast choices were limited. There was a large communal resort pool with a view. It was clean and was not in much use when we were there. There was also a big outdoor sitting area on the top of the hill near the parking lot and reception, but the funky chairs were more decorative than functional. The beach looked lovely and clean and good for a walk - our friends explored it, but we only glanced at the beach - mainly just using our private pool. Staff were very nice and accommodating. We liked the resort and were glad to be recommended here.

Not many hotels/resorts are presently open in Bang Saphan but we were pleasantly surprised at the number of (mostly Thai) tourists staying at the hotel. In other words, we were not the only guests and Seanery has a pleasant and relaxed ambience. The choice of accommodation is between a double room (priced at 2,200 Bt) weekdays on the side of the hill overlooking the sea or a villa with small pool by the beach (priced at 4,400 Bt). We took the villa, which was well equipped with good shower, comfortable bed and a kitchen with microwave. Although small, it was rather pleasant lying in the pool watching the beach and sea just a few feet away. The only real negatives relate to the design of the villa, which actually comprises 2 separate rooms with an open passage in-between. This is not a good idea when it rains heavily as you get drenched just popping a few feet from one room to the other. Otherwise, we had a pleasant enough stay. The other areas where this hotel can definitely improve are at check-in and breakfast. There was only one girl at check-in who literally was doing every job including driving us to the room and helping with our luggage. The hotel illegally charges 2% for payment by credit card, but when I tried to pay with credit card, she said "sorry but the connection is down", which wasn't very helpful. The breakfast choice and presentation was quite poor and the restaurant staff looked like they would rather be anywhere else than working there. The coffee was also rather bitter and uninviting. So, we had a pleasant, though by Thai standards, quite expensive stay but with a little effort from the hotel management, it could have been a much better experience all around.
