The Panwana Ressort is located between Rayong and the Mae Ramphueng Beach and is surrounded by daily Thai life. The ressort is pretty new, super clean and very tranquil. The family who owns and runs the ressort is english speaking and very supportive for your actions. You can rent a scooter or a bicycle there which is beside of your own vehicle or a tuktuk the reccommended way to get arround. If you just want to hang out, that's the place to go!

This is a fantastic resort, with a great relaxing pool and gardens. And also a excellent American or Thai breakfast available. Now the thing that makes this place really special and unique is the amazing family that own the resort, we have never experienced such kindness and excellent hospitality in Thailand, they all go out of their way to make your stay as special as possible, and to us has made it feel like a home away from home. We would absolutely recommend people to stay at the Panwana resort if visiting the Rayong province. We will certainly be returning on our next trip to Thailand.

I stayed for only one night at Panwana Resort and I hope to one day return. I was on my way to Kho Samet and broke the journey with one night at Panwana Resort. The resort is not huge, and I feel this is no doubt a good thing meaning you are not overrun with too many people. It has an intimate feeling and that is for sure part of the appeal. There is a tranquil atmosphere here, one of peace and for sure you feel you are escaping the intense hustle and bustle of Bangkok. Panwana Resort feel quite unique and not like any other place I’ve stayed in. The rooms surround what can be described as a mini nature reserve. There is large and beautiful pond that forms the central feature, and one could argue creates the entire mood and theme of the resort. The pond has some incredible black swans that glide about gracefully and to sit on the balcony of your room and take in all of this beauty is really quite wonderful. There is a small dining area and pool above the lake where the reception and office is. Although I didn’t make use of the pool, I feel this could be a fantastic way to spend some time and truly relax. There are easy chairs around the pool, and the area is slightly raised allowing you to look down on the central lake. The overall design is unique, and your attention is drawn down to the lake and the abundance of trees and foliage. You feel that you are in some jungle hideaway. The numerous trees and other plants create a stunning frame and canopy as you swim in the pool or sit on the decking and look down to the lake. Its utterly beautiful and the unique feature of the resort. There is also a café at the front offering some baked delicacies and hot drinks. It seemed quiet when I was there but for sure a great feature to the resort. The room I stayed on was large and with some well-designed furniture. It had a stylish feel and extremely comfortable. A cosy vibe and the close proximity to the lake and trees all contribute to you feeling you are really very far away in the Thai jungle. Your balcony looks onto the lake, and the abundance of greenery really makes you feel you are in the jungle. The beach is a short cycle ride away, but I didn’t have time to check it out and get a feel for what the local beach is like. But good to know that you are close. The hotel let me use their bicycle to get around the local area and I had some fun investigating. For sure it’s a quiet area and you feel a little remote here. But that’s not to say there are not some good restaurants and bars close by to discover. But do not expect the anything close to the level of evening bar, café and restaurant environment that you would encounter in a popular tourist resort. This is the ideal place to escape to for a relaxing weekend and immerse yourself in the beautiful jungle environment.
