I stayed here for 2 days during a walking trip through the Alpujarras and I really loved my stay here. The room is so spacious with a nice balcony where I could watch the beautiful view. The breakfast was in this hotel itself and the juice was fresh, the coffee nice and you can chose what other items you like. The dinner was in La Fragua I (just a 2 minutes walk) and as a vegetarian I can say my 2 dinners here were the best dinners that I had during my walking trip. I also used the pool which was refreshing and they provided me with a towel. Very friendly staff! I

“A pearl in trevelez”

We took a room for 3 adults, the room was very large, with a balcony , very clean, clean shower and toilets, amazing view from the balcony. Nice servics we asked for lavndory and it was done perfectly. The hotel runs a wonderful restaurant near by. Excellent ellent

“Walking holiday in the Sierra Nevada”

This is a great hotel much better than the 2 stars it is given. The rooms are really spacious and we had a great view from our ist floor balcony. The pool was wonderful. This is a great hotel much better than the 2 stars it is given. The rooms are really spacious and we had a great view from our ist floor balcony. The pool was wonderful. No smell or taste of chlorine and really refreshing. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfasts are good with plenty of choice. We stayed in total for 5 nights. We ate in the restaurant every evening. Good value food and wine and again great service. Overall a great place to relax after a days walking in the mountains.

“Comfort in a Small Town”

We stayed for 1-night at Hotel La Frangua II in Trevelez (€75). While located at the top of a small Spanish village, the hotel was not that difficult to find. We stayed for 1-night at Hotel La Frangua II in Trevelez (€75). While located at the top of a small Spanish village, the hotel was not that difficult to find. The first trick was to ignore the GPS – it led us into tiny, very steep dead-end lanes. Simply drive up the main road (it is an easy 2-lane) to the T-intersection at the very top. The left leads to a bridge across the river and on to Pampaneira. The right leads immediately to a small plaza – there is a small sign at the end saying the hotel is a further 150 m. We parked and walked to find the hotel's exact location, then came back to drive the car through the final narrow lanes – no problem. The hotel is a long 2-floor building with all of the rooms facing the valley. Ours, although dated, was large & comfortable, with a 2-single beds pushed together, side tables, a small desk & chair, 2 upholstered chairs & small table with coffee supplies, an odd looking couch that could serve as an extra bed, tiny TV, large closet, but no mini-refrigerator or safe. The bathroom was large, with a small vanity, and a bathtub/shower. There was a large deck facing the valley, with a couple of chairs and table, a nice spot for an afternoon drink. I didn't see any heat controls, but there was radiant heating from the floors that kept the room cozy during our rather chilly visit. The hotel had a nice pool overlooking the valley, unfortunately closed in the cool weather. La Frangua offered a good breakfast and also owned a restaurant just down the street that served an excellent, reasonably priced selection of local delicacies. We didn't see much of the town – places were mostly closed this early in the season – but it struck me as a pleasant one to explore. In summary, a reasonably priced, comfortable hotel in a pleasant small town if traveling the mountain route between Granada and Nerja and looking for something a bit different.
