1st impressions....arrived at 11.50 at night....presented with a hot tasty meal and a beer All the staff I met were so friendly and polite from the waiter to the gardener. The room was very clean larger than average with a view of a pool and the sea (1138) Plenty of hot tasty food on offer much variety was to be savoured. Just love the idea of a separate quiet pool, we often made use of this facility. What a great beach with plenty of seats, lovely to see it was kept clean. The animation team were busy offering events and competitions. We watched the Brazil show one night great dancing and VERY colourful. When booking in we tried to book an Alarcart meal, told to try the next day only to be told the manager had cancelled them. The second week the Aircon was turned off, we were told this was in the contract... whatever that means ? Still had a great time. To conclude if you fancy a slightly remote hotel to kick back and relax at I recommend this place.

Just got back from a week at Calimera Delphino Resort & Spa in Hammamet. Overall, we had a good time – the hotel itself is nice, very clean, and well looked after. The staff were lovely, really friendly and always willing to help. Our rooms were spotless, and the whole place was kept really tidy. The food all week was fantastic – even with a few fussy eaters and people with food issues in our group, everyone was happy. The salad bar was amazing! The only real letdown was the drinks. The selection wasn’t great, we often had to ask for ice, and a few times the drinks were served warm. Bit disappointing considering how good everything else was. We had some massages at the spa, which were fabulous, and there were plenty of activities like tennis and water sports to keep busy. The quad biking excursion was the highlight – such a fun couple of hours, would definitely recommend doing that. A quick tip: the shop up the road is way better than the one at the resort. The lady who runs it is super friendly and there’s zero hassle. The weather was great for the time of year too.

“Let down by poor food and drink”

The good - The hotel, including room, grounds and beach were very pleasant, clean and tidy. Kids loved the sports including the tennis courts and gym. The not so good - My main gripe is the food. After about 4 days I'd had cold scrambled eggs, cold chips, raw fish goujons and lukewarm prawns (from the salad bar). After this I could only trust what I knew was freshly cooked and actually ended up skipping meals. The much vaunted salad bar was not chilled with the meats curling up in minutes on the room temperature slabs. Hilariously, on one day, left over chicken nuggets were smothered in mayo and presented as a salad item! No sneeze guards, nothing stopping little kids putting their hands on everything and no allergen information. Not once did i see anyone checking the temp of the food. Unfortunately, only the main restaurant was open, so choice very limited. The drinks - the beer was fine, soft drinks mainly from bottles (coke, fanta) - again fine. Cocktails were dreadful - only about 5 available and excruciatingly sweet to the point of being undrinkable. No fixings for bloody Mary - first AI in 25 years where I've not been able to have my pre dinner Bloody Mary. Hard times. The flies - very annoying at times. Insect spray seemed to have little effect. Hotel had no measures in place to deal with them. No traps, no zappers.
