I wasn’t happy on my first night because my room especially the washroom was not properly cleaned. However, I appreciate the evening receptionist who kindly assisted me with my complaint. The next day, the housekeeping team, especially Mr. Yusuf the Manager, came to apologize for the inconvenience and made sure everything was fixed to make my stay comfortable. I would also like to thank his team Dogan, Sueran, and Selvi for their support and excellent service. 🤩 Thank you very much. We truly appreciated it. ❤️

“Mixed experience – not quite what we expected”

We stayed at the G Tower Hotel/Apartment in Istanbul for 4 nights. While the hotel has clear potential and some great features, our overall experience left us with mixed feelings. On the positive side, the resort looks modern and newly renovated at first glance. The design is attractive, and most of the staff were friendly and spoke English well. Breakfast was of good quality, although for the size of the hotel, the selection was quite limited. Unfortunately, several issues impacted our stay. Many parts of the hotel, especially in the lower floors such as the wellness and gym areas, were in poor condition. There was visible mold on the walls, everything felt damp, and there was a strong basement-like odor. Some areas appeared abandoned, unfinished, and dusty — which gave a somewhat unsettling, dystopian feeling that clashed with the otherwise polished appearance of the upper floors. Our room also looked nice at first glance, but closer inspection revealed that many things were damaged or poorly maintained, and the cleaning could definitely have been more thorough. One thing we found particularly uncomfortable was the strong pressure to leave a 10/10 review. During breakfast and again at check-out, staff stood over us with a QR code, asking us to leave a perfect rating on Google or Booking. While it’s understandable to ask guests for feedback, this approach felt forced and inappropriate — especially when the experience clearly had room for improvement. Honest feedback should be welcomed, not coached or coerced. In summary, the G Tower has good potential, but there are important areas that need attention — especially maintenance, cleanliness, and how feedback is collected. We hope management takes this as constructive input and continues to improve the guest experience.
