Well what a fabulous stay! Let's begin with the room. spacious, fresh smelling and pristine in every single aspect. Large beautiful mirrors, full length and one large one sitting above desk which is big enough for personal items and computer etc. Plenty of electrical sockets, USB charging points, massive TV plus bedding white and crisp, fluffy white towels, large shower in a beautiful pristine bathroom. The room also had a sofa, and space for the suitcase to be opened without taking seating space away. This is great. The bed was comfortable, pillows included. Plenty of lighting and lamps, and the room serviced every day by smiling efficient staff. Lovely to come back daily to a serviced room with everything replenished. The communal areas. Corridors with clean bright fresh carpets. Other communal areas are bright and spacious, with contemporary furniture, lovely lines which extend beyond reception area to bar and restaurant. The staff in this hotel are what makes it extra special. They are clearly chosen carefully, all give you a welcome and smile which comes so easily, including the restaurant. You are made to feel wanted and your custom appreciated at every turn. Thank you to all staff your sunny dispositions are noticed by guests and we greatly appreciate it. I am an Honours member and so get price discounts when booking. All bookings include breakfast which is much appreciated. It also starts very early if you have an early flight. The seating area on the ground floor in reception has a huge array of modern comfortable seating and the hotel is in a really convenient location only a five to ten minute walk turning right exiting the airport doors. We ate in the restaurant, being perfectly hones (its a truthful review afterall) we were very disappointed with the food, we both had gammon which was very tough hard to cut and the food has clearly not been prepared by a chef as it seems to be pre made easy to throw together with no imagination, looking at the menu I think most of the food gets squeezed out of a bag and reheated. I cannot imagine a qualified chef would ever allow such food to be presented to customers. No skill at all in the offerings also evident at breakfast as the cooked food is also very poorly prepared and unappetising. Disappointed overall in the food. Such a shame. We had hoped for better. We often stay at Stansted hotels, and we have never stayed here before. However this experience here has now made it our 'go to' hotel. We already have a booking for two weeks time and we will always make this our first choice if the price stays comparable. The lovely room, bathrooms, staff, communal areas and location make this the most wonderful place and we highly recommend it. Join the Honours scheme for the best deals. Enjoy!
