Great hotel and reception staff very efficient and friendly. Rooms are nice size and bed comfortable. Bathroom and shower good size and clean. Thank you room service (Patricia) for the great work you do and keeping the room fresh and sortingout a glass for my toothbrush! It is so good to see that some mainstream hotels continue to provide room servicing, other hotels should take note. Highly recommend this hotel.

The. Room was clean, but I had a main road facing room, but there there was no double glazing and the window didn’t shut properly, so there was a lot of traffic noise. Having said that, I ordered a burger and it was day

I’ve stayed here before, so one thing I can say is not much changes. I stayed for three nights, my room was immaculately clean and well looked after by Patricia. Check-in was prompt, I didn’t do the online version as couldn’t pay for parking on it so I didn’t see the point. Car parking though has been subject to a 300% increase since the last time I stayed; it is now £3 per night, although I suppose it’s still ok value compared to Premier Inn who want about three times that and the Travelodge Borehamwood hotel (although it’s free at Travelodge Studio Way). Considering it’s an enormous public car park that’s never full and an utterly minuscule hotel car park no where near enough for the 112 rooms, it would be nice if Ibis could arrange just for people to park there. Exactly a week before I stayed at Ibis in Paignton and the difference was stark; the decor in Borehamwood is thoroughly dated and straight out the 1990s. It’s in good condition and the bathroom, whilst compact and like a “pod” that’s come out of a car ferry, it had plentiful and rapidly supplied hot water and again immaculate. The biggest issues is the room just needs to be redesigned as it’s not really fit for 2026 - there’s no power points at all on either side of the bed, and whilst there’s no USB charging in the double socket by the desk, an iPhone cable won’t reach. It’s a frustration that really should be sorted now. Otherwise as I say the decor and furnishings are dated but I noticed a new desk chair. The hospitality tray is limited as you’d expect in a budget hotel. For knowing what you’re getting though, I’d still recommend Ibis over the other budget hotels in Borehamwood - it’s better located especially if you want to walk to the high street or train station, and has air con in the rooms that Travelodge doesn’t have. Hopefully it’ll get room more akin to the one I stayed in at Paignton soon.
