“Great location!”

Excellent location overlooking the River Great Ouse within walking distance of restaurants, the train station and Ely Cathedral. Cosy atmosphere and a comfortable bed at a good price. We were allowed to check in early which added to the hospitality of the hotel.

We stayed at the fabulous Riverside Inn during the week for just one night. Wish we could have stayed longer. Self check in was very easy with details emailed before our stay. We managed to get a parking space on the quay which was lucky and meant that we were only a quick few steps away from the Inn to carry our overnight bags. The area is very picturesque and the sun was shining so it all looked even better, with the boats on the river and people enjoying the nice weather at the pub tables on the quay. Our room was very nice, lovely and clean and quite luxurious. Our downstairs deluxe double overlooked the river and quay, so it was quite perfect. The facilities are excellent with a coffee maker, coffee pods, teabags, milk and biscuits. All very welcome on arrival after a long journey. The bathroom was really lovely too, with great towels and bath toiletries. The bed was comfortable and the TV was nice and large and easy to watch in bed. Breakfast was excellent too and the breakfast room is really lovely too. A great selection of cereals, yoghourts, fresh fruit, orange juice, toast, croissants, rolls and pastries as well as a cooked offering of bacon, sausage, tomatoes and scrambled egg. Tea and good coffee was served upon arrival in the breakfast room. Check out was easy, just hand your key to the lady serving breakfast and go. All lovely, we highly recommend and will visit again. Very well located for our visit to the Cathedral and city centre. Only a half mile walk along the quay and nice park. Slightly quicker walk if you take the road route, but we enjoyed the nice weather and the flowers in the park. Thank you Riverside, you thought of everything.

We were in room 3, up s steep staircase with en suite, for a single night. There is no reception but the arrival instructions were clear, precise, and worked well. The interior of the hall, stairs, landing and the room itself are beautifully designed with new lighting and equipped with a coffee machine, kettle and all the amenities including USB3 charging sockets. The two easy chairs were comfortable as was the bedding although the bed itself was too narrow for us. The small bathroom was well lit but the shower was situated over the bath as there was not room for a separate cubicle. There was no plug in the wash basin. Breakfast was very good with cereals, yoghurts, breads etc, and sausages, bacon, scrambled egg and grilled tomatoes plus excellent coffee. The whole place was fresh, clean and pleasant.
