I frequently stay over when in the area for business .Friendly host, clean rooms, good food at the pub. I can easily recommend this hotel for business or pleasure.

Went on a Friday afternoon with us having our first bit of decent sun! Booked the table a few days prior and then received a txt on the day an hour or so before our booking to say the table was being prepared - this was a nice touch. Upon arrival we were seated by Sophie, her service was impeccable throughout (To be fair, every member of staff we came in contact with was amazing!). Every little touch was thought of ahead, water on the table upon arrival, fresh cutlery and napkins for the main straight after the starter without having to be requested. Then even after the meal sitting outside in their large garden area, there are heaters, blankets available and even facilities for dogs. Overall absolute hands down one of the best pubs in the area!

“EXCELLENT STAY & SUPERB BREAKY”

Just back from a wonderful stay at the Bulls Head . A few changes for the better as they will shortly be opening their new annex with luxury rooms . Our room was lovely with everything provided for a comfy night , kettle, tea, coffee & fresh milk - non of those milk pods . Power shower & nice bathroom accessories . Check in by IAN in his new booth by the door inside the pub was excellent - don't forget to register your vehicle on arrival as they have ANPR cameras on the car park !! Breakfast was a delight & really high quality in the new dining area . The new breakfast menu was SUPERB ! Coffee was lovely & the dish of Granola with greek yoghurt & compote was just fabulous . The Avocado on toast with poached eggs & bacon was lovely . Just about the best breakfast we've had in any pub / hotel ! Many thanks to the fantastic breakfast chef CRAIG . Table service was also excellent thanks to HANNAH & TERI - WELL DONE ALL ROUND .

My wife & I stayed at the Bulls Head for two nights, Friday & Saturday last week and were pretty well pleased with our stay. This was the 3rd time this year we've been " on the road" and on the two previous occasions we stayed at Premier Inns, one in Newark the other in Bromley both of which were "average" at best. This time we decided to pay little bit more & have a bit more comfort and that was certainly the case at the Bulls Head. Location wise it couldn't be better with easy access to Manchester, the airport and Altrincham & beyond. We paid £235 for two nights which included breakfast for us both across the two mornings. The breakfasts were excellent & we were pleased we included them in our deal. I had asked being a very light sleeper for a quieter room if possible & the staff duly obliged with a room set off to the right of the building which was great. The room itself was clean, relatively modern and pretty comfortable although the shower could have done with a bit more of scrub. We ate in the restaurant the first night there and found the quality very good, we both had steaks and there was one starter, one pudding and 3/4 drinks on the bill too. I'm not complaining given what we had but the bill nudged £100 which I thought was "enough". Overall experience was very, very good. The staff were brilliant & really helpful, parking was fine, after parking up when we arrived the car didn't move for two days, it's best just using Ubers & the excellent trams. The acid test, will we go back?? Yes I'm pretty sure we will, we visited Manchester for an exhibition and would like during the summer perhaps to stay a few days longer & explore more, the Bulls Head will be an excellent, comfortable good value base for that.
