Outstanding in every respect! Outstanding Staff, nice room, superb food. Best hotel stay in years. Nice old building, centrally located in village. Everyone really enjoyed their stay & breakfast.

Having been to a number of hotels over the last few months, many of them disappointing for various different reasons, I can honestly say that my stay at the Bel and Dragon was one of the best I’ve ever experienced. I visited with a couple of friends for our annual catch-up. From the moment we arrived, all staff were warm and friendly. We all had fantastic rooms. Mine was superb - large, spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable, with a beautiful Medieval wall painting. The management had literally thought of everything and it is that attention to detail that is so welcome but so often lacking, even in hotels costing triple the price. For instance, there were 2 comfortable chairs to sit in, a TV and a radio , quality coffee-making facilities, a large walk in shower and a separate bath, slippers and a dressing gown. There was even a complimentary tipple! I could imagine the room could get a bit warm on a very hot day, but it was a sunny, warm day when we were there and the temperature was fine, even with the windows closed. Breakfast was included in the room price and was excellent, with a wide range of choices (brilliant poached eggs!). We also had a lovely meal in the restaurant and enjoyed the bar area in the evening. As well as being an outstanding place to stay, it was also incredibly good value. So many places are charging silly money for very basic facilities. As I say, this was probably the best room I’ve stayed in for a very long time, including both pub rooms and ‘luxury’ hotels, but the rate charged was extremely reasonable. If only every hotel were like this. In fact, anyone who runs a hotel, or pub with rooms, should stay the night at the Bel and Dragon in Odiham and pick up some tips! Outstanding and wholeheartedly recommended.

“Excellent room”

We just had two nights here in the garden rooms and I have to say they were lovely, I was worried we would be kept awake from the garden noise but once the door was closed we didn’t hear a thing Facilities were great everything you need to, coffee machine kettle iron hairdryer My only complaint is… more

We just had two nights here in the garden rooms and I have to say they were lovely, I was worried we would be kept awake from the garden noise but once the door was closed we didn’t hear a thing Facilities were great everything you need to, coffee machine kettle iron hairdryer My only complaint is the staff park their cars outside our room which meant there was no parking for us not even through the arch way, we had to find disabled on the Main Street , Other than that no complaints And the breakfast was excellent

“An Oasis”

Popped in for a spot of late lunch - and as always it was excellent, the staff, the food and the atomosphere. This is our new oasis.
