The hotel location is perfect for the first direct arena and position well for secure parking. Overall the hotel is nice, and well decorated, relaxed atmosphere and lovely helpful staff. We didn't eat at the hotel. In regard to our room mainly the cleanliness, this is where things were disappointing. The bed was comfy, and the room was nicely decorated with tea, coffee, etc. Heating didn't work and room was cold during our one night stay, shower pressure poor, bathroom cleanliness very poor, dirty grout to the tiles around the shower, mouldy sealant around the bath and limescale build up, the toilet had disabled adaption fixtures n fitting which hadn't been cleaned in a number of weeks. Generally, the majority of the furniture and lighting fixtures were covered in dust, and the carpet has moths.

“A good base but a bit disappointing”

We booked this for a short stay in the area for a couple of gigs we had booked. The location is spot on and with a discount code for the Qpark the parking was reasonable for a 3 night stay. We booked this for a short stay in the area for a couple of gigs we had booked. The location is spot on and with a discount code for the Qpark the parking was reasonable for a 3 night stay. Check in was extremely slow, the member of staff had been caught up on the phone and no other staff around to help. However, bonus that the room was ready early when we checked in at midday. The rooms remind me of a Premier Inn, large but sparse on furniture, white walls, no pictures, very clinical looking. A window that looks on to an immediate wall and hardly any sky to see made you feel a bit claustrophobic whilst in the room. The TV wasn't working, we were advised on check in that there was a problem with reception for all the rooms. Not a biggie but it may have given a bit of atmosphere to the room. On the first night the one remaining lift had broken down, we had to climb the 5 flights of stairs up and down a couple of times, we are capable (although more difficult in heels and stuffed with food), it wouldn't have been fun if we'd had to drag our suitcase up the stairs or if we weren't able bodied. Upon return to the hotel at around 11pm it still wasn't fixed, however, it was working again by 10am the following day. Breakfast was ok, self service, find the server to order porridge and eggs. The server was lovely, again working on her own so rushed off her feet, the hotel seems to have a lack of staff, run on a shoestring as the bar area was similar. The location of the hotel was spot on for our needs, bed were very comfy, low noise levels but I don't think I'd stop here again. We much prefer the Dakota Hotel, a little more expensive but homely and more refined .

“Understaffed”

Stayed for one night room only. We are arrived prior to check in time and the room wasn’t ready which is fair enough. Stayed for one night room only. We are arrived prior to check in time and the room wasn’t ready which is fair enough. We had a couple of drinks in the bar whilst we waited for check in to commence at 3pm. Come 3pm the queue for check in stretched out of the door. Only 2 people on check in desk. It’s not rocket science it is. You know how many rooms you have sold before and you are just round the corner from Leeds Arena so no doubt many people are going there and will want to check in ASAP and then go for something to eat before going to the concert. My this time there were quite a few people in the bar but the was about 10 minutes where there was nobody behind the bar and people were walking out and going elsewhere. Room looked OK on arrival but the fridge was very noisy. Shower was terrible and temperature inconsistent from scalding hot to freezing cold within a few seconds. Returned to hotel in the evening. One person serving in the bar and a long queue, so just went to our room. The staff the hotel has are pleasant and helpful but there’s just not enough of them. I don’t think I’d return.
