Stayed here with friends, the rooms were great, superb beds,spotlessly clean The staff were great helpful but not overbearing Dinner was superb everyone enjoyed their meal Breakfast was served not buffet and was properly cooked to order Only wish we had booked another night

Stayed for 1 night in room 1. Very friendly and welcoming. Large room with plenty of storage space. Great three course meal on the evening and hot breakfast cooked to order. A beautiful country hotel with a 10 minute walk into Ludlow with free parking. The negatives: shower not powerful and would have expected luxury shampoo and shower gel. Only one tiny bottle of each provided and not enough for two guests. Breakfast- one small bottle of orange juice between two guests. Would have preferred buffet for cereals, pastries, toast etc. instead of having to ask. I’m sure it wouldn’t have been a problem but the lovely lady on breakfast duty was serving us all, answering phone and checking out guests. Overall a lovely stay, attentive staff and excellent food, but could do with a few improvements to enhance the luxury and guest satisfaction.

Booked this hotel through Booking.com and upgraded to a king deluxe room. The room cost about £160 and it allowed me to cancel up to 5 days before initially I was going to give the hotel just three out of five but fortunately the breakfast saved it. There was nothing particularly deluxe about the room. In fact the room could do with a bit of TLC for example - scratch to surfaces on the furniture and very little space we did not have a shower which was incredibly frustrating so we couldn’t have a shower in the morning. All that we had was a bath. The bathroom is incredibly basic and has stains of damp all over the blinds. We had a decent night sleep and the bed was quite comfortable. There’s not much of a bar and was closed fairly early as they only really cater for restaurant bookings. The location is good with a 10 minute walk into the town centre if you don’t have the best mobility it is slightly uphill. Luckily we’re absolutely fine. We had a lovely breakfast the following morning. The staff at breakfast were pleasant and service was quick. I would really recommend the scrambled cod on toast. I possibly would stay here again, although I do think it just needs a little bit of sprucing up in the room.
