“Weekend break”

We stayed in a 1 bedroom lodge which was excellent, warm, clean and comfortable. We would highly recommend Higher Moor. Everything about the park is excellent.

Absolutely beautiful place to stay fantastic deluxe +2 lodge was perfect everything you need tranquil and the staff are friendly and helpful made you feel welcome, we went to celebration our anniversary and just a stones throw away from Weymouth sea front and portland bill we would highly recommend higher moor farm as a place to stay it was just what myself my husband needed. We definitely are going back next year

“Rules need to be enforced and defined pitches”

We were looking forward to this holiday as the campsite seemed to have all we needed, however I went home disappointed On arrival I found it weird the pitches are not clearly marked out and numbered as it seemed a bit of a free for all and opened up the madness of kids running over your pitch and all around your tent as your space wasn’t clearly defined and tents also were being pitched on were cars would be driving on and off so then cars were also randomly parked. The cleaning team were good, the showers were ok but you have no where to keep things dry when in your cubicle as the water makes the whole area wet, I would then move in to the individual sink areas and there is no where to put your toilet bag or make up without it getting wet! Also kids were mucking about in there and broke the communal hairdryer (as parents just leave them to run around and annoy everyone else) the water for washing up is barely hot so you can’t wash up properly. We left a day early as there were inconsiderate adults ( if you can call them that) there is a quiet night policy here which is why we chose it however at 11.15pm I asked them to keep it down as we had children trying to sleep, they took no notice and continued to have inappropriate sexual conversations for the whole site to hear, it is now 12.20am and I called Daniel to come and sort it out (Daniel didn’t even phone jack who was on call to attend the site) there was now only one way this could of gone, no one came and the noise went on until 1.45am despite several people shouting for them to shut up, the stupid woman there who said the more you tell me to shhhh the louder I will get you should be ashamed of yourself! So not only did we not get to sleep until after 2 am these so called parents then let their ferrel kids run around peoples tents and scream at 7.30am and when that started to annoy them they sent them to the park to scream and wake the other side of the site up? The quiet night policy should be reiterated when you arrive and enforced as staff should be patrolling? It’s a shame these so called “campers” don’t have camping etiquette! I loved the food vans,the marquee and horse box bar (although one night there was only 5 of us in there and we were chatting with someone who had a seasonal pitch and was having a nice time however they decided as it wasn’t busy just to close even though it should be open until 8pm so our evening was cut short I had high hopes based off of other reviews but was let down!
