Stayed on 27th and 28th March 2026, in two rooms. All the hotel staff, right from the start, especially ESTER were attentive and helpful. The rooms were very large and clean. Our room had an enormous bed that could sleep 4 and was very comfortable!!!!. The other room had a large double bed and a sofa bed. My grandson slept on the sofa bed and said it was very comfortable. The breakfast on both mornings had a good selection, and yes, it is a buffet style, so don't expect as some do in the reviews, cordon-bleu cooking!!! Off-site parking in the retail park (free) was a bit of a nuisance when it was pouring down with rain. Especially when the layby (drop off point) outside the Hotel seemed to be hogged by unthoughtful motorists. On arrival, there was a great big coach there for some time. I was told the layby does not belong to the hotel. Just a thought to greatly improve the room. As stated, we had a great big bed which only had a bedside cabinet on one side and USB points above it. The bed could easily have been moved across to accommodate another bedside cabinet with further USB points + an electrical socket. My wife, who slept on that side, made a make-shift cabinet with pillows. (see photos). Note: no wardrobe or drawers, clothes hang in the open or on shelves. The shower was not that powerful, but a nice touch with DOVE shower cream and shampoo. 11 am checkout was great, free wifi.

Located within a retail park, which is convenient, as you can park for free there, add long as you register car at reception. Inexpensive, Great value for money for king size bed, clean room, spacious, great shower, free WiFi and cooked breakfast, 11am checkout, usually 10am for most hotels

“Clean comfortable hotel let down by front of house staff”

Stayed for an overnight with my children and the stay had positives and negatives. Stayed for an overnight with my children and the stay had positives and negatives. The hotel is well appointed next to a busy retail area with restaurants etc, good motorway access etc. I travel a lot with my children and have to say the welcome wasn't what were used to, not particularly friendly. We arrived at a busy time and had to wait in a long queue, understandable. I did notice however that guests were certainly not all treated the same, one person on the desk was full of smiles and info for other guests but that was not the experience we got , we just got shouted at to move away from the door to allow the doors to shut ( she didn't mention this to anyone else waiting and I had just moved there momentarily to fix my bag). Despite not having visited this hotel before we were given limited info ( my 12 year old even described it as somewhat hostile) . I think front of house staff usually set the tone of an establishment, and I usually expect a genuine friendly polite and welcoming vibe. This was a special treat for my daughter's birthday but it definitely didn't live up to expectations on a customer service viewpoint. The room itself was lovely, large, impeccably clean ( really exceptionally clean) pleasantly surprised - even down to the kettle being empty and clean,and had everything you would need. My goodness the housekeeping staff must work hard. We weren't told about evening meals but thankfully knowing the area we went out and ate. The room was also really quiet despite being front facing and despite the hotel appearing very busy. The bedding and towels good quality and my daughter said the sofa bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was for want of a better word chaos. I had to ask staff if it was a wait to be seated or find a seat yourself type of restaurant..they were dismissive..found a table and left out things and went to get some breakfast..there were the usual rubbery scrambled eggs , sausage , overdone bacon tomatoes beans and hash browns, toast small muffins and croissants some cereals ( running low) and some yogurts available. I don't know how you could make this experience run smoother but the small area was just a free for all. The worst was the fact I found not one not 2 but 3 small black hairs in my breakfast... Revolting .my daughter went to ask 4 members of staff for some water and they all walked away from her. I had to go and ask and I got given a large glass from the bar but would have thought water would be available. We checked out early to be honest I just wanted to get home. I approached the front desk and was going to discreetly mention the hair in my food and just had a member of staff yelling up from the breakfast area ' just leave your card in the box' no 'how was your stay ' no thanks for visiting ...nothing . Just as disregarded as we'd been since we arrived. Do ok the whole a good clean and comfortable hotel that's let down by front of house staff and give breakfast a miss!
