My hubby read some reviews before we arrived at the Hotel and warned me not to expect much. So, I was delighted to discover once we arrived that everything was great! Very friendly and helpful staff. Our room was spotlessly clean, the bed huge and the most comfortable I’ve ever had in any hotel I can remember. Don’t know what they have ontop of the mattress, but it was amazingly comfortable. The room came supplied with a safe, hairdryer, iron, ironing board, trouser press, fridge, beautiful Scottish guest toiletries, even the toilet paper was good 3 ply and beautifully presented, the hospitality tray was great, pull out, various sachets, including several different individual flavoured Tetly tea bags, Galaxy hot chocolate, Walkers Shortbread fingers. Nothing at all looked old or outdated. I would go back and would recommend. Another guest at breakfast appeared to be very impressed too, telling us “This breakfast is fit for a king”. There’s a selection of fruit juices, fruits, cereals, toast with individually wrapped butter pats, individual glass jars of marmalade and jams and your choice of cooked items for the Scottish Breakfast, including how you want your eggs done. Restaurant was lovely and clean with panoramic sea views. Nothing to moan about. Lots of Leisure facilities too, including pool, sauna, gym etc…All good. Worth a 5* review.

“Weekend stay”

The Hotel is set in such a beautiful location. We didn't have a sea view room so when we went for breakfast the next morning, we were blown away with the view. The hotel was very clean and provided everything you needed in a room, large bed, WiFi, tea and coffee, toiletries etc. I have never stayed anywhere before with such welcoming staff. They were all so friendly and helpful, from the receptionist who greated us, the guy in the pool and staff in the restaurant and the cleaner, everyone seemed happy and went out of their way to make you feel special. They are all such a credit to this hotel. We are already looking at when we can return!

“3 night stay”

Check in fine. £100 deposit required. I thing this is a lot! Room clean, bathroom clean. Complimentary shower gel/shampoo/hand wash. Large towels a bonus. Coffee and tea making facilities. Iron/ironing board. Flat screen tv. All fine. However, the mattress was probably the worst I’ve ever slept on… more

Iron/ironing board. Flat screen tv. All fine. However, the mattress was probably the worst I’ve ever slept on. I could feel the springs all night. So no restful sleep. Breakfast started well, beautiful views. I had some fruit and yogurt, 2 bowls dirty. Then ordered the cooked breakfast with a poached egg , the poached egg had a big curly hair on top of it!! Totally lost my appetite. After a day of activity we had booked an evening meal in the restaurant, all ok nothing special. On the second night we had eaten out so just fancied a drink in the bar. On the third night we had a meal again then relaxed in the bar. But …. On all 3 nights the staff called last orders at 9:30 and then by 10pm turning lights off and basically telling us to leave! I have NEVER stayed in a hotel that wanted their customers out so much…. We were hoping to play the odd board game after our meal and just chat about our day. But we were unable too. We are not big alcohol drinkers so this wasn’t the issue but we wanted to spend some quality time with each other. I’m very doubtful that this hotel is going to last much longer if they are happy to turn down customers! We are planning to come back to the area again but we won’t be coming back to this hotel.
