When I arrived I was made to feel so comfortable, the receptionist who checked me in to my room was very friendly and explained everything well. The atmosphere was amazing it was so calm and relaxing- which is exactly what I wanted, the room I had was the double deluxe room, and it was phenomenal, the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in by far, the bed was decorated lovely and my boyfriend had a happy birthday card. The location was lovely not too far away from us- but even if it is it’s worth a drive ! Amazing value for money staff are so friendly, the rooms were imaculate, I was really pleased with my stay and I will definitely be coming back.

My boyfriend surprised me with a night away for my 30th birthday here. On arrival the staff were so friendly and professional. When checking in we had a complementary upgrade to one of the deluxe suites, which was such a lovely surprise. The suite was amazing, had everything you needed and more. I also had a lovely ballon display for my birthday, which was the cherry on top. We had Sunday lunch in the BLOK restaurant which was some of the best food we’ve had, and the waitress came over with a complementary glass of fizz! We highly recommend having a meal there! The spa facilities were lovely and very relaxing. Overall we had a lovely relaxed night away, it couldn’t have been a better way to celebrate my birthday. Such a stunning spa hotel, we will definitely be returning! Thank you so much!

Very disappointing experience from start to finish. We attended using a gifted afternoon tea voucher, expecting a polished, high-end setting. Instead, the arrival set the tone entirely—guests are funnelled past a fully visible, covered outdoor pool positioned directly by the entrance. It’s an odd, misplaced feature that immediately undermines any sense of refinement or discretion. Inside, the space feels disjointed and poorly managed. There’s no clear sense of direction, no welcome flow—just an awkward, slightly chaotic atmosphere. Service followed suit: inattentive, blunt, and lacking even the basics of hospitality etiquette. The surroundings don’t help. Décor is visibly worn, tables tired, and the overall finish far below what one would associate with a venue positioning itself as premium. The toilets, oddly located and unclean, only reinforced that impression. A simple request for a latte after food arrived was met with a curt “you have to pay for that.” That isn’t the issue—the tone is. It’s entirely possible to communicate additional costs without sounding dismissive. Basic service standards seem to have been overlooked. Then, adding insult to injury, the latte appeared on the bill with a service charge attached. Charging extra is one thing—charging for poor service is quite another. As for the afternoon tea itself: adequate at best. Nothing distinctive, nothing artisan, nothing that justifies the expectation of quality or price point. Entirely forgettable. The location only compounds the problem. Set in the middle of a housing estate with minimal parking, we were left half on and half off a pavement just to leave the car—hardly acceptable, and certainly not what you anticipate when visiting a supposed “high-class” venue. And the pool—clearly part of the spa—is positioned in full view of the entrance and car park, offering zero privacy. It feels misplaced, uncomfortable, and more reminiscent of a budget leisure setup than a refined hospitality environment. In short: a nice building let down by poor execution at every level. Style over substance—and even the style doesn’t quite land. Proof, if ever it were needed, that money alone doesn’t buy taste. Would we return? No. And unfortunately, not one we’d recommend either.
