I stayed at Bryn Meadows for my hen party in March 2026. We had spa treatments booked, which were all lovely. The spa staff were fantastic and accommodating. I cannot praise them highly enough. The facilities were clean and modern, and the towels and robes provided came in very handy. As we were late in the day - and some of our party were the last treatments of the day - they were offered extra treatments free of charge, so to not waste products and towels which had not be used in the day. The hotel and its staff however were rather disappointing. We paid for our rooms upon arrival, however despite informing the hotel beforehand that we were a hen party, the party was split up, with the majority of the guests staying on the first floor and three party members staying on the ground floor, which was very disappointing. Furthermore, two rooms had requested a late check out due to the length of travel time the following morning. The hotel had confirmed prior that a late checkout was available for the two rooms, however when we checked in, one of the rooms was suddenly unavailable for late check-out. When questioned on this, the receptionist was very rude and did not attempt to do anything to remedy the situation, which made us feel unwelcome and that our custom was not appreciated. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfy, however there was only one accessible plug outlet which was not next to the bed. The bathroom floor had been varnished recently and was slippy and very unsafe (wear crocs or go barefoot). I would go to Bryn Meadows again for spa treatments and use of their facilities, however would not recommend their hotel or afternoon tea and dinner services. It was very clear that staff did not want to be there and considering we were a rather small group, who were not particularly demanding, we felt that the way were were spoke to by various staff members and the lack of awareness surrounding it being a special occasion tarnished the experience.

What a lovely setting, nice place to get away and relax. Rooms weren't too small or too expensive for the night. Just a few little niggles..... ● Not really child friendly, next time I'll go without my young children as I could see that they were sadly not welcomed by the day restaurant staff. ●Tea amenities were shut in the wardrobe so didn't get used, just a suggestion.....leave them out on the table..? It was a case of out of sight, out of mind for us, so I dont know what was available. Food was lovely, ●but pricey, knocking just a few quid off menu would be perfect. Bar, reception and spa staff where really nice and ever so friendly. ●Although the Restaurant manager clearly doesn't like her job, and doesn't have very good customer service skills. ●Also 1 glass of wine was £7 and when I googled it, the bottle is priced online for £7! Bryn Meadows sells it for £27 per bottle. That and the manager let the Restaurant side down for me. ●The clubhouse shut really early so we didn't get to have a drink or a game of pool over there and there was no entertainment at all for guests anywhere at Bryn Meadows so after evening meal there was nothing to do/see. ●Robes were not left in our room, we did have a spa treatment previously booked with full use of the pool, sauna jacuzzi etc, but we had to walk through reception in our swimwear, a robe and slippers would have been ideal, but they were handed to us at the spa. Which baffled me. Spa staff were lovely, professional and so friendly. The spa is HIGHLY recommended for a great treat. Breakfast was included in our stay, which was freshly cooked and really nice, there is also pastries and continental while you wait for it. ●but breakfast stopped at 10am (11 would be more ideal) ●Check-out is 10:30 (11:30 would be more ideal, so that Breakfast isn't rushed) ●Only had half a roll of toilet paper in our room, baffles me why the left over half isn't just left for new guests and a full roll is placed next to it....? Just a few little things let it down for us, if it wasn't for the little things it would be an absolute great place for anyone of any age to have a great and pleasant stay.
